Does this work well for fine powders?

I bought this because I saw it being used in a fine restaurant. I had never seen one before but it worked well. On the other hand, it should work for powders depending on the surface the powder is on. A wooden table no, a granite tabletop yes.

The black clip part of mine broke. The part that clips onto my apron. Is it possible just to order this part?

Will this crumber work on a glass top table?

i've tried using this on my counter and it doesn't seem to scoop up the crumbs. It just pushes them forward. Should it scoop also?

I've never tried to use it as a scoop. I use it to gather all the crumbs in on place and push them off the table cloth edge onto my hand, as I saw a waiter do one time. I've also never used it on a bare surface, but I would imagine it would do that as well as a cloth.
