Assembled as Expected (i.e., well), and Looks Great!
I was hesitant to order because of other reviewer's comments about holes incorrectly drilled, missing screws, main pole alignment, etc., but decided to take a chance based on the excellent price. I had looked at some antique hat trees that were in the $400 to $800 range to get something sturdy, but this design more closely resembled my dad's old hat tree of 60+ years ago but with more contemporary brushed nickel-look hardware. Further, this hat tree had the widest base of any for sale, which is crucial for stability.I am DELIGHTED to report that this tree assembled FLAWLESSLY, the wood finish was unmarred, all hardware was included, is very stable, and LOOKS GREAT!My only tweaks to make this an even better product and to differentiate it further from its competition would be to 1.), have the topmost hat hooks extend slightly further from the main pole to allow more space between hats if one has a full rack (as do I), and 2.), to have a third tier of full-size hat hooks equally spaced from the existing ones at the top of the pole. I don't personally have a need for the tiny hooks at the lower end of the pole, but other users might find a purpose. One observation: I found this same hat tree for sale from other vendors at different sites under different names and at different prices, all using exactly the same product photos. I ultimately went with the Amazon listed version due to Amazon's excellent return policies (that in this case were not needed).Overall, a job well done; I would highly recommend this product to others without reservation!

Sturdy, beautiful, and easy to put together
We are very impressed with this coat rack. We needed something sturdy to hold a family-amount of jackets. And we also needed something safe for our toddler, meaning not easy to tip over and no sharp hooks/edges. Not only is this coat rack of good quality, it has plenty of hooks for all our coats, and even low hooks for our son's jackets. It looks great in our living room, and is super sturdy. It was easy to put together. The only flaw I found was that some of the holes were lined up differently, and the base parts are not completely centered compared to the main pole (meaning one side might be flush against the pole and there is space on the opposite side). It is hard to notice, and does not detract from the function/ overall appearance of the coat rack.I would buy this again, and I would recommend it to others.

Very functional product
A little tall, which might be good for some, but well made and sturdy. Carton damaged (which I knew when purchased), but product in perfect shape and all parts included. Some assembly required, but not difficult.

Easy to assemble and sturdy
Easy to follow instructions. Material is solid and can hold many coats and lower hooks can hold purses and other small bags

Sturdy build. Looks nice
I went slightly over my original planned price range to get this item and I am glad I did. I am very pleased with this coat rack. It has a nice weight to it and seems like it would be hard (but certainly not impossible) to tip over. I also like how it looks. One thing to note: most of the screws holes are not pre-drilled, they are only indents to guide you. This item uses real wood screws and you screw them directly into the wood, making the hole as you go. This is a good thing as it creates a very tight, secure, sturdy feel to the end product, but it also means a lot of work if you do not have a powered screwdriver. I did not and I had to take a short break half way through assembly.

Stable, Functional, and Resonably Priced!
I've been shopping both locally and online for a coat tree similar to this one. I found many that were metal and/or lightweight, features that didn't fit my needs. I needed a functional and stable piece to be more useful than decorative, but this is both, as well as quite reasonably priced. This is solid wood with metal hooks. It was easy to assemble with all pieces included and carefully packaged. I was a bit concerned after reading some reviews stating that the holes were drilled incorrectly so that it was crooked once assembled. Fortunately, mine was fine and is straight with all hooks securely screwed in acceptably vertical. An hex wrench is included but you will also need a Phillips #1 or #2 tip screwdriver. If you have an electric drill/driver, it makes things go faster but your tip needs to be long enough to clear the hook. Also, drive slowly and carefully so that you don't strip your screw hole!Although this isn't the heaviest coat tree available, the bottom keeps it stable enough to hold a lot of coats, hats, and other accessories. I didn't think that I'd use the bottom hooks much but they've come in quite handy for tote bags and shorter vests. They are also handy for hats, scarfs, and other smaller items.I haven't yet hung heavy winter coats on it so can't speak to that durability but I will update my review as I have more information to add. As to ease of assembly and general functionality, I am quite happy. I rate it four and a half stars for my early satisfaction.

Look for other options
This coat tree, is very poorly built, and even the hardware provided is of poor quality. First off, one of the pieces of the base, which needs to be attached with 4 screws to support brackets, needed to be re-worked, as the company did not drill out the wholes with the proper drill, thus providing the screws that were shipped unusable. Then the tree of the coat tree is in two pieces. When I put the two pieces together, the countersunk receiving nut (male end) was drilled in on an angle. And it was loose. Therefore, the upper part was on an angle and loose. Even a hat would have made the piece tip over. The hooks on the top, are nice looking and good quality. But the screws provided, Philips heads, were so poorly manufactured, that i needed to purchase others, as they didn't have the Phillips end cut into them.Because i was having an event and did not have time enough to order a replacement, and needed the coat rack, I did work on this to make it functional. It would have been easier to build one out of raw lumber. I have seen grade 6 shop class projects built better.
