Does this brush really have metal covered bristles?

I bought mine 5 months ago and use it daily. About 5-6 of the plastic tops on my brush have fallen off, which is disappointing since I was expecting it to last for at least a year. The metal bristles do hurt once the plastic tops fall off.

Is this brush actually metal bristles or plastic??

The prongs are metal, with a tiny plastic covered tip. We love these brushes because they seem to go through your hair more easily with the metal bristles.

What is the length of the brush?

Without measuring exactly but having it next to my phone I would say 5, 5.5 inches. It’s comfortable in the hand not too long not too short.
