A Korean Odyssey (PK Korean Drama, 20 Eps, All Region, English Subtitles)

I first found this k-drama on netflix and wanted it in my collection ever since. The story plot is very well put together has a lot of comedy, romance, suspense, and a little bit of horror.

This was the best. It was recommended from a friend. You will laugh a lot and get emotional with the characters. What a fun movie to watch. I was so caught up in it- I had to finish it to my own peril- yep stayed up way too late several days in a row to finish it. My husband got wrapped up in it too- and he is not a fan of any subtitled shows. Have fun.

A favorite series no longer available on my streaming channels. The price was high, but the picture quality makes up for it. Subtitles in Chinese and English. Other sellers had complaints that picture quality was poor or was copied from a tv show, not a master.

Had to buy dvds because it left netflix and isn't available anywhere else. The show kind of flew under the radar in Korea due to technical issues when it aired, but based on a Chinese novel about the Monkey King, it's too much fun to miss. Arrived in mint condition and dvds play as expected.

I watched this series on Netflix several times and enjoyed it immensely. It’s become one of my favorite Korean Dramas. So, I decided to purchase it on DVD.This DVD set was worth the buy. The packaging is very professional, with the box that the DVDs come in being nicely laid out with pictures of the main characters as well as details about them and the show. The individual DVDs are professionally labeled with pictures of the characters or scenes from the series.The quality of the video is excellent as are the subtitles. In fact, the subtitles are better than Netflix as sometimes on Netflix it would not always include the entire translation of what the characters were saying.My only disappointment was that the series is exactly what is available on Netflix. No deviation whatsoever. Which is great, but then a little disappointing as when I’ve purchased Korean shows on DVD in the past, they’d include bonus scenes here and there within the series that were removed from the Netflix airing. This was a minor disappointment at best though.This is a great series. The story is not new, but it’s still good. The acting and chemistry was wonderful between all. Son O-gong (Monkey King) was my personal favorite, such a fun and complicated character. Though not as dynamic, in personality, Jin Seon-mi was wonderful as well. My favorite relationships were the romance between her and Son O-gong and his relationship with the Devil King. Again, all the characters really played well together. Some of the best scenes were when they were all interacting over a meal or crisis.I’d really like to see another season of this series. Unfortunately, another season is unlikely considering most Korean shows only get one season.

First saw it on netflix and had to get it. Such a great show. Glad there was a PK version available. Always has a professional case and never any issues with those versions for me. All discs are securely placed. All audio and subtitles are excellent and picture quality is great as well. Has some artwork on the inside with small character bio's which i always like. Case folds open and closed. Dont know why it says there are 10 discs for this cause there are only 5 for 20 episodes with 4 episodes on each disc...The soundtrack to this show is very good as well. Definitely glad i was able to get a hold of this show and this version.

I had seen this series on Netflix and very much enjoyed it, but I was hesitant to buy the DVD version because there were only a few reviews and some of the negative ones did not leave me enthusiastic that the purchase would be problem-free. Well, I'm glad I went ahead and purchased it because there were no problems. All discs were received. Quality of picture was excellent. And subtitles did not interfere with images.

The packaging is cheap/flimsy & the picture quality is poor. I was aware I was taking that risk after reading other reviews but, was not expecting even the subtitles to be so blurry/fuzzy
