Great gate
The media could not be loaded. The size was almost too small for my needs but the extra piece that came with it for bigger spaces made it too big for the hallway. 😂 luckily I got the gate to work. I just had to tighten the screw things all the way to get it to tighten to the wall. I’m SO glad it fit. I needed a gate with a small door for my little dog. He’s 18pounds & can fit through the mini door. It seems they have made the mini door smaller because one review showed a husky that fit through but ain’t no way a husky would fit through now. They had to of made the mini door smaller since my 18pound dog barely fits through. The gate does not auto close, you have to close it. However if you tighten the gate a certain way you can make it to where you can shut the gate without having to touch the button. You can just swing the door and it will catch at the part where it locks. It’s sturdy and nice. No damage. Easy to assemble and put up. Easy to move if needed. Great for babies or dogs. Very helpful. The height is shorter than my old gate but still a good height. My German Shepard doesn’t even try going over it. I highly recommend. Great value too.

A Beautiful Gate That Treats Cats and Dogs Differently
This is a great gate...I installed it in a second, and needed little in the way of instruction (though instructions are included).More than anything else, it's more attractive than I typically find in this kind of product -- and this comes from a guy who built a barrier out of a large cardboard box. The clean, white steel gate is shiny and modern, with a nice visual line to it. It opens easily, and while the clasp at the top looks like the plastic that it is, it too fits it the product visually. It's got a very bright, appealing look, and I'm really pleased with it.I can attest to the worth of the cat door, as well: my cats figured it out in a skinny minute (though "skinny" is probably the last adjective I should have used), and it appears none of my three Corgis can fit through, which is a real relief. The door opens smoothly and shuts just as easily, and it has been a big success here at the house. The door comes with two extensions...one for each side (one 6", the other 4"), which allow it to extend its size to accommodate doorways from 29 to 44 inches. I did not have to use them, but I can tell the construction is as attractive and clean and easy to install as the main gate. All in all, a very well-made product. I was impressed with it. And if you have Prime, it comes (with shipping and handling included) for an astonishingly low total of $38.96 at the time of writing this review. My only (minor) negative is that it would be really nice if the smaller cat gate came with a way to "lock out" the latch. As it is, the latch has a spring that means its tip is always extended outward. It's not a big problem, as I said, but this means that the door swings open one way only, and the cats must pull the door toward them when they are on one side of it, and push it when they're on the other. On my porch I have a cat gate that swings both ways, but comes to rest at the center due to twin magnets in the door and its frame. There IS a latch, but it can be locked in or out.Other than that, a perfect product! Within days of ordering it I ordered another one... Yep, to take the place of my cardboard one.

Fabulous gate for dogs, cats and pot belly pigs
I bought this gate over 4 years ago when my youngest dog was an untrustworthy pup. The doorway to my tiled den is extra wide so I needed a gate that could accommodate that width. I also needed a gate that was walk-thru because there are some physically challenged people in my home who would have a hard time stepping over conventional gates. This gate installs easily and securely, adjusting for a perfect fit in my doorway. It comes with two extension panels and you can purchase additional ones if your doorway is wider than 44".It's tall enough that my little dachshund mix (who can sometimes fly when properly motivated) cannot jump over it, but adult humans can easily operate the latch that opens the walk-thru gate. The kitty door at the bottom of the gate had to stay closed at my house because it was perfectly sized for a wiener dog, but my cats were not interested in going into the den with the horrible little dog creature anyway so it wasn't a problem for me.Fast forward to last month. My little dog has become sufficiently trustworthy that the gate has been stored in the basement for a couple of years. However, my eldest daughter has added an indoor miniature pot belly pig to her household of 4 cats.Mookie the pig is now 7 months old and about 45 pounds. He is also an adolescent and a little more stubborn than he used to be. Last month, he decided that rooting around in the cat litter box was loads of fun and seemed to plan his day around this delightful activity. My daughter and her cats were less than thrilled since the pig was vigorously flinging litter everywhere!I remembered the gate in my basement and took it to my daughter's home. She really needs the kitty door because one of her cats is elderly and has only 3 legs so she cannot jump over a gate anymore. After installing the gate in the doorway to the laundry room where the litter box is, Mookie promptly showed us that if he maneuvered just right, he could get thru the cat door in the gate. Luckily, I saw the customer images which demonstrated using cable ties to keep the cat door from opening completely and it worked perfectly.Fortunately, Mookie has grown enough that he cannot get thru the cat door anymore no matter how hard he tries so we've dispensed with the cable ties. The gate works perfectly and my daughter no longer comes home to dirty cat litter strewn around her laundry room floor. The gate is made of powder coated steel and the white paint is extremely sturdy. My household has multiple cats and dogs and children and it still looks brand new after 4 years. The style is fairly innocuous and seems to look as good in my daughter's modern home as it did in my 100 year old house. (Let's face it - a pet gate is not an accent piece so innocuous is about as good as it gets.)If you are looking for a pet gate that will fit extra wide doorways and can be easily walked through by humans, I think this gate may be just what you're looking for.

Great product - could use one extra feature
I am training a 4 month old lab and my two cats are her kryptonite. These gates are so great. My cats have somewhere to feel safe if the dog gets too riled up. One thing I will mention is that my 4 month lab (22lbs) can fit through the cat door (not easily, so I am usually able to intercept) I know she will get bigger soon so I’m not worried about it but something to keep in mind for smaller dogs. One other thing is I wish it had a way to hold open the cat door permanently. I used a zip tie to secure it open so that my cats are never trapped. That would be a nice feature.
