AvedaThickening Tonic | Instantly Thickens Hair | for Thin and Fine Hair | with Certified Organic Amla

I have used this product for several years now along with its sister product, Aveda Texturizing Spray. I have very fine hair and have tried numerous products over the years that did not work. This does. I put it on my wet hair after shampooing and toweling dry along with the Texturizing Spray. I also use it on dry hair in between shampoos without adding the Texturizing Spray. My hair is noticeably thicker and will also maintain a curl after using hot curlers. It's a little pricey but definitely worth it! My only complaint is that it has an herbal smell. Some love that smell; I do not but will put up with it for what it does for my hair. Highly recommend.

Gives good volume for hair that's fine. It does leave hair feeling a little stiff and dry when you wash.

I’ve previously used Aveda volumzing tonic, and while I did like it, this Aveda Thickening Tonic seems to work better to give my baby fine hair volume and thickness.Aveda products can run a little pricey, and some of them aren’t worth the price, but I’m happy with this order. The bottle will last me months, as I won’t use it every day. I received mine for a little less than what Amazon is showing now, but still do often hesitate on Aveda product pricing vs how much you receive.One thing I really do love about Aveda products is the scent to them—there is never that ‘granny’s sachet’ scent, not floral or too sweet. There’s that nice spicy scent that I so love with every Aveda product I’ve used.You spray a little into your damp hair—it’s not a thick product—massage in, and then comb through. I used a paddle brush one time, and a round brush another. Both produce volume and thickness.One thing I do miss though is my hair doesn’t look as shiny after adding the tonic, but that’s true for other products I’ve put in my hair that add volume.Of the thickening product I’ve pruchased, this one seems to do the job the best for my very baby fine thin hair. And as well, it works better than the volumizing tonic by Aveda.While I wish Aveda wasn’t so pricey, I’d likely purchase again.

I have such fine thin hair people have likened it to "baby hair" - as in, I might have hair like a toddler of any ethnicity. Because my hair has both characteristics of 'fine' and 'thin', a thickening product seems what could be needed. The truth is, not every hair thickener works like that for fine thin hair... often times those products are heavy and weaigh your hair down so it just looks flat and like you don't have hair. This product actually changes the texture and look of my hair. It isn't sticky or funky it just feels like my hair magically became thicker without any product at all. I have noticed that depending on the shampoo I use I have differential results. but that's just something you'll have to work out. .... This product ROCKS and I love it. and it has completely changed my hair game - I am more comfortable and confident using this product. and I trust the brand and ingredients. It's worth the money and will last quite a few months with med/short hair.

The bottle arrived clearly labeled “not for individual sale” it makes me wonder how long it’s been sitting in a warehouse somewhere. The product seems ok so far.
