Powerful
This tool is a beast! Heavy, but for a battery tool has all the power of an all electric drill. I love it.

Power
This tool is big, heavy, and loaded with power. I have the 20v cordless flexvolt also. The 20v goes thru joist like butter, but due to the safety e-lock system, bit got stuck on me on numerous occasions. Had to chisel the bit out. Bought this as a backup for that reason. Release bit from quick chuck, then screw this beast to bit, and proceed. This tool is too heavy to use continuously for overhead joist drilling. Its 23lbs with the battery. This has no problem going through 100 yr old tripled joist beams

Insanely powerful, no more hurt wrists.
I have owned the first generation dewalt flexvolt Stud & Joist drill for the past three years which is one of the best tool purchases i have ever made. When i saw this new second generation inline flexvolt model drill i decided to give it a go.I work in the electrical field so i admit that this drill is way overkill for running romex cable through studs. The reason i own two models of the dewalt flexvolt Stud and joist drills is because of the wonderful anti- binding protection which lets me work comfortably without ever worrying about getting hurt on the jobsite. It might be weird but whenever the drill turns off on me to avoid a bind and the red light starts blinking i always think "thank you."This drill simply screams durability and power. The housing is extra thick and the power of a corded tool is genuenly there. I have yet to find myself in a situation where my Bosch nailkiller bit becomes jamed even after drilling through 2x6 weight bearing joists in the first gear of this drill. Whenever a bit gets jamed from using my dewalt DCD996 this flexvolt drill always comes to the rescue.I highly recommend this drill if your job requires power, your are tired of getting hurt and you are tired of dealing with extension cords.

Tool is pretty good,but
Tool is pretty good. But, can u put the tool into the Amazon box. My wife saw the dewalt tool box and complained me so hard why I buy some expensive tool again. Just recommend the seller, I will definitely buy some other tool from CPO outlet again.

Heavy but powerful
Very powerful drill feels just like a corded one. Definitely stronger than the cordless Milwaukee hole hawgs. If the added weight doesn’t bother you this tool will serve you well.

El taladro cumple con las expectativas buscadas
Me gusta mi taladro, lo único malo es que pasa demasiado, pero creo que me acostumbrare a eso.

Beast mode.
This thing is a beast and I actually returned it because is way more than i needed. If you are cutting large holes for plumbing or doing a lot of electrical, is probably a good choice. It's _really_ heavy.. and I didn't need such a robust beastly tool right now. Plus the right angle chuck is big, and unless you use short bits doesn't fit between joists much better than a conventional drill, so was kind of disappointed at that. Maybe if I had bought the smaller 20v model.

You get what you pay for.
This tool is worth every penny. Lots of power. Makes boring through studs and joist light work. Even large diameter holes are easy. No need to fear of kick back from binding. Buy it. You deserve it.
