Typically with these collapsible setups are like wet noodles . Not this one . Medium to medium heavy with fast action. You can feel the bites just fine and it has back bone to set the hook. Time will tell on how long it will last but so far it brings the fish in :)

Nice portable fishing rod used it through Europe in salt and fresh water. Paired it with a Shimano 4000x reel and it never failed to deliver. For the price and convenience of a stowable rod it’s well worth the money. The rocks we fished from were sharp sometimes volcanic type which really beats up gear but this pole was ok other than a few insignificant scratches that do not affect how it works. We fought reef fish, mackerel, bottom fish etc and it neve fell apart. I’d buy it again because of the convenience when you can’t bring a two piece rod.

Update 05/31/2024:I love these rods, don't get me wrong.I have all of them! The 2.1M, the 2.4M, the 2.7M, the 3.0M and even the longer 12-foot one.I bought my friend the 2.1M/6.89FT one. After using it a few times the tip broke. Fluke?YunNong (the seller) replaced it under warranty, no charge.... Excellent customer service.Yesterday, he caught the river bottom and was trying to get freed up, not even pulling 'that' hard and that replacement rod (same model, 2.1M) snapped in half! Right in the middle.... So two broken 2.1M rods in 2 years....I never had any problems like that with mine, and I pulled much harder than he did yesterday...I don't think he's gonna ask me to order him another Sougayilang rod anytime soon...================There's only a single nut to lock in the reel base.This could be improved. Two lock nuts instead of one.Other than that, the rod would be PERFECT. My Daiwa reels would even fit on it!Good quality! Beautiful blue color. Solid.This seller does offer excellent responsive customer support.If there's an issue, they will fix it to your satisfaction.

I was skeptical at first after my husband purchased his first telescoping pole. But after he bought a second, I thought that I would try one.My son and I fish occasionally and I wanted something easy to transport. My husband carries his right in his tackle box.This pole easily extended, stayed extended and had a great feel. The reel was easy to put on and take off. It comes with a tip protector and a drawstring case and once inside it is very compact!It is great value for the price. I love it and now our family has three!

This is a replacement of a cheaper telescopic fishing rod I previously brought, I really like it, it is strong enough to reel in a large catfish from a bridge almost three stories high. It easily folds and unfolds unlike some other brands. I also like the light weight but strong build. I tried a cheaper spinning reel with it, I'm sure it will work just fine with a bigger one as well. Ease of setup:It is very portable and is ready to start fishing with in no time.

Used this pole during a backpack trip June 2025. First snag I encountered the second section broke off when attempting to release the snag. I used the same technique to release the snag as I would normally with any of my standard fishing poles. I've been fishing for 50 years so I kinda know good equipment. This pole is questionable quality. Disaster!

Perfect to keep in your car for those spur of the moment times when your stuck somewhere and you see a pond. Happens to me more that I would have thought.. Good feed back, and nice feel considering the design of the pole.

It’s rose gold color more than it’s silver. And the eyelets seem rough on the line. Which seems typical for this brand considering this is my third pole from them.
