The large frame without mat is 6.5x8.5 inch

How did you change out the pictures in the frames?

In the back of the frame there are small black rubber pieces pushed into the frame that hold the glass into place but not visible through the glass. Dislodge them but gripping with your fingertip and pulling them out. They push back into place easily after you switch pics. I agree, directions with the packaging would have been helpful.

Do the frames have mats?

They do not come with mats. We just ordered some from Amazon to go in ours.
