Will this fit an AF-S lense?

Does the "body only" model come with battery, charger, case or lanyard?

Yes. You will get the camera body, battery, charger, lanyard, and manual.

How smooth is the manual focus ring. Last few autofocus nikon lenses I've owned are all really loose and sloppy.

If you have cheaper Z mount lenses, manual focusing is not particularly great. Lenses are made primarily for autofocusing. The larger S lenses should be better. I've ordered 105mm S macro and would expect manual focusing to be excellent.
