Horizon Zero Dawn Vol. 2: Liberation (Horizon Zero Dawn, 2)

Great tie-in
The second book in the Horizon Zero Dawn comic series is set during the events of the first game, and follows Erend and Aloy as they are on the hunt for a man who was partly responsible for Erend’s sister’s death.I didn’t love the artwork in this comic as much as I did in the first because it was a bit too simplistic for my taste. The world of Horizon is so stunning and detailed, and I didn’t feel that the artwork in this book fully captured that, but it was still cool to get to see another artist’s style.I did enjoy the story in Liberation. It ties in perfectly with one of the game’s quest-lines and actually adds something to Erend’s background through his involvement in liberating Meridian from King Jiran’s reign.

Great artwork & story worthy of the main title itself.
I’m not sure I can be completely objective as I love Aloy, the Horizon, games & universe. The artwork is beautiful & the story could quite easily have been a side or main quest in the game itself. Both this & the Sunhawk comic fill in the lore & so those obscure references & comments made by some characters in the main games make more sense.
