Q: Say I want to skip hg and go to rg would I be lost when building this model?

This was my very first model, I skipped HG and went for RG from the start. I was not lost; instructions are very clear.

Q: Do the instructions come in english?

Most of the text in in Japanese, but it is easy to tell what is needed from the photos. Almost as easy as ikea’s instructions.

Q: The hands don't click into place and fall off no matter the amount of pressure applied. Advice?

Had this issue too, I solved it by just excluding the white part around the wristI later reassembled it at it clicked in just fine, so we probably put it in wrong......somehow

Q: Which stand/base is recommended for this model?

I used the 1/144 Action base 2.
