if its a smooth top stove I wouldn't because it could scratch it, if it has coils then in theory it should work but I wouldn't do it. Get an electric griddle.

Wipe away excess grease. If it's well seasoned (the more you use it the better it is) you should be able to wipe it clean. I use cheese cloth. NO soap. If you have to "clean" or scrub it... invest in a REALLY good smooth cast iron chainmail scrubber. A little warm water, shuffle/scrub lightly and any stuck on or burnt residue comes right off without damaging your seasoning.

No, it's a one piece item. It has a flat griddle on one side and 'corrugated' grill surface on the other side. The flat side is for eggs, pancakes, etc and the 'grill' side is for hamburgers, hot dogs, steaks, chicken, etc.

Q: what is the maximum temperature this grill can be used at ?

Camp Chef would not recommend using the Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Griddle over 500 degrees. Mostly because the seasoning can burn off and your food will most likely stick at that heat.
