Grandma loves them
Bought some for my grandma. I donβt know much about this product but I ordered a pair for my grandma because she needed some and they were out of stock everywhere. She calls me a month later and asked me to order 4 more pairs. She says they are well worth the $40, that no other βmediaβ squeezes as well as these and looks good.

On-line sizing is confusing; otherwise great
Sizing chart on-line, as an image attached to the Amazon listing, can be misleading. The best sizing comes on the actual package (a little late if you've already ordered wrong size). On line, the chart implies that each style corresponds with a specific shoe size, with calf sizes listed at the bottom that don't correspond to the shoe size or the style size. The actual package makes clear that only "Style 40, medium compression" should choose by shoe size. All other styles ("Style 80, 306, 306(O)," which are the firm and extra-firm compression) should choose by calf height and calf circumference, period. This can make a big difference. In my case, looking at the on-line chart, I had to flip a coin between calf size and shoe size--one steered me toward a small, the other toward a medium. I had previously purchased a medium based on this--waste of money, as it was too big. Turns out that particular style should have been sized just based on calf size, which, for me, was a small. Eventually purchased the correct size, but couldn't return the one that was too large since it's an "intimate" clothing item that had been opened. So again: calf size for firm/extra-firm compression; shoe size for medium compression. Otherwise awesome product--very sturdy with wide band that stays up and with "stickiness"/grip that doesn't deteriorate with washings and line drying. Decent transparency for a firm compression stocking, and much better natural-looking skin color for my super-white skin than a lot of the other brands' colors--not too pale (like, say, cream), not too dark (not "suntan"). The one star off is just because of the sizing confusion since it is an expensive product that can't be sent back.

Perfectly passes for black pantyhose
My history: I wear compression stockings daily to recover from past clots and prevent future clots from forming. I've been wearing stockings for two years and have tried many (many, many) brands and styles. I work in a field that requires me to wear skirt suits so I'm always searching for stockings that will do the job and not look like medical wear. I am 32, 5'8 tall, and 160 pounds. The pros: I've bought 8 pairs of these stockings in black, size large. They are by far, my favorite in terms of comfort and style. The wide elastic band doesn't strangle my thighs and no one can tell these are medical weight compression stockings. The cons: They snag and wear out faster then ugly beige and white medical stockings because they are made from a thinner material. I buy a new pair for my rotation every month. The beige and nude colors are hideous. One is too white and one is a green hue. They could not pass for nude pantyhose in a million years. The verdict: If you need stockings that look like black panty hose, these are for you. If you're wearing pants, buy something sturdier.

Makes my Legs SING
When I was first told by my doc that I needed to wear support hose, a sales person said "you'll want the knee hi's, the thigh hi's don't stay up well". I'm busy and most days pretty active and knew the last thing I needed was to be tugging at my hose all day. The knee hi's didn't really help much and seemed counter productive, for my circulatory needs. I tried thrm off and on for years. Then I met an amazing woman, who spoke only a few words of English. She saw my legs and expressed that she could feel my pain. She brought from her closet, thigh hi support hose and using hand motions and facial expressions, she addressed my scepticism, gesturing they DO stay up. Still sceptical, i bought one pair. She was right. I love these! They make my legs Sing! The generous silicon bands (2) at the top keep them firmly in place all day long, without being tight. I wear the 20-30 mmhg in XL and they make all the difference in the world (check with your doctor). I used the sizing chart to figure out what size. I put them on with my legs elevated, but my friend uses rubber cleaning gloves. I hand wash them in warm water, hang dry a day, and they continue to hold up well. I'm still wearing the original pair I purchased several months ago. I bought another pair in the original color and two more pair in another color. I'm hoping I will want to wear them right through summer! I wear them almost every day! They really make my legs feel great!

ok but could be better
I got beige color, which turned out to be olive greenish. Not too crazy about the color but could still wear it. The compression doesn't seem to be enough for my skinny legs. Very easy to put on. No difficulty getting over my heel unlike some reviews state. I'm 5'5" 135lb and it goes right under butt (i ordered medium due to my shoe size: 7.5). I think it's so long on me because I have very slender legs though. I love the fact that it stays put very well, a lot better than my Jobst thigh highs (which constantly ride down)! I put it on in the morning & it hasn't moved since! I wish it was open toe in small so foot size wouldn't be an issue. I also love that it enhances my rear because it goes right under my butt cheeks & creates butt definition. That's not what I was going for but it's a plus. The material is kind of rough (comparing it to my Jobst which is very soft & comfortable but again those don't stay up) but I don't mind the material that much because it seems durable & you can't tell it's compression hose at all. I think it's sexy looking.Update: I have ordered nude color as well. I like this color more although it is a bit too pale for my complexion.Update 2: I have gotten a little tan since my last posting & now actually prefer beige color since it matches my skin color better. The nude color is way too pale to wear now. Overall, great hose.

Just do it!
Don't second think and just buy it. They look nothing like the usual compression stocking. They are very comfortable and stay up. I have been wearing them for a few days now and i've had no roll down as of yet. I am sstisfied with my purchase.
