Just for decoration. Bateries operate the clock. A small magnet keeps the pendulum going

Does the door open and close when the bird cuckoo?

The door opens and the bird comes out, cuckoos the appropriate number of times, goes back in and the doors close.

Have had the clock for 4 months. pendulum stops swinging after a few hours. have tried new batteries. no improvement. what can i do?

I have no idea as mine has been running for a couple of years now and have had no problems at all!! Love my clock!!
