The description says indoor/outdoor pillows. Is the material waterproof or Water resistant? I would like to keep these outdoors with my couch set.

I have these pillow covers and use them indoors, but they are a pretty heavy weight canvas type of material (except for the leather-like piece) so I think they would be OK outdoors. The black May fade in the sun though.

Do these soften up after washing?

If you wash these the black fades, I ended up returning mine after washing according to their instructions and it came out a faded black / gray.

What is the difference between the black and the new black, if any?

I'm not sure. Tried to find out myself. Maybe message seller. I bought the black and love them

Can these pillow covers be used for a screened in patio?

I purchased these for my husbands man cave because these are some of the colors in there (I also had to purchase the inside pillows, because these are only covers), but they are very nice! We put them on his black bench and they look stunning!
