Is this shipped inside another box? Hoping to keep it a secret from the kids.

The one I ordered didn’t. I received one that was already opened, the box was mangled and the bags inside were able to slip out. I returned it and drove to the Lego store.

Recieved damaged and partially opened. Can anyone explain how the bags are numbered?! 2 sets of #s (different fonts) with multiples of some #'s.

There are multiple bags for some #'s (2 and some 3). Some bags were small (about 3"x3" size)There was also an "spare parts" bag ... which really wasn't just spare parts because it contained pieces we needed to complete a numbered bag. We found that the fonts on the bags themselves made no difference in the completion of that project. Good Luck

Why does it take 1-2 months to maybe ship it out?

This is a very large box, and the weight of the plastic is very heavy also, probably around 12 pounds. Also, because of the price this item is not in high demand (relative to Amazon's other items), so it probably will need to be shipped to your local warehouse before it reaches you.
