I've purchase off brand (ie. non-Canon) lens caps in the past but they never seem to stay on the lens very well when handling or when pulling the camera out of my bag or putting it back in. But this lens cap is well a made with a strong spring and it works just as well or maybe even better than the Canon version for a lot less money. Great value.

It fits on my Sigma 24-70 well but comes off when I put in the lens hood (sometimes I have the hood on backwards).
