Never tried a live translator before. The capability of these is great. The setup and pairing was very simple. I like the overall style of the earbuds and the case. I have conversations in Spanish every day, but I’m still learning and often the sentences are too fast for me to understand. I took them to Colombia and they did reasonably well. Once in a while the translation comes out a bit crazy, but it’s not the fault of the earbuds. Obviously background noise and clarity will have an impact on accuracy sometimes. I appreciate how the app has options to choose for which region of Spanish I’m using. The customer service is also great. I contacted them for help when I was unable to redeem the card included as credits for downloading the offline translation packs. They replied within the hour and fixed the issue immediately. I would say they can be fairly useful to a degree in the right environment, but a couple issues I had: if there is nothing being said, they will take random breathing or other noises and translate it to “yeah, .. yeah” repeating in your ear, sounding like a couple of robots attempting procreation. Inaccuracies are sometimes crazy enough to potentially cause a serious misunderstanding if you don’t realize it. Sometimes they just stop picking up any audio at all. Overall, they helped a bit, but I ended up putting them away.

I tried to use this to communicate with a mexican friend with the offline translation downloaded and the translation was not accurate at all even though we were sitting next to each other in a quiet room. Furthermore, I attempted to use these to help me learn Spanish, and it couldn't hear me speak English even if the room was quiet enough to hear a pin drop and had a direct connection to the internet. On paper something like this sounds amazing. but my attempts to make this product practical failed and now I'm left with a set of really expensive earbuds that just sit on my counter collecting dust.There is still no replacement to just learning the language you want to communicate in. It is my belief that it is far better to spend money on programs like Duolingo or Rosetta stone than putting money on something like this. Maybe it will improve later down the line, but 200 dollars for something that barely functions isn't a good investment.I tried to give these another shot after I lost my SHOKZ headsets in Mexico, and had an even worse experience trying to adapt to using these instead. I used all three sizes of buds for them to both continuously slip out of my ears, the microphone still sucks, and they don't stay synced with the Bluetooth or each other.I spent real money on what was supposed to be future-tech to only be sold clown shoes instead. At this point I'm just going to take them out to the back yard and smash them with a sledgehammer because I'm so frustrated with them.

I've owned the previous M2 translator earbuds and I believe the M3 are a huge improvement. It really depends on what your own preferences are. If you like how Airpods fit in your ears, then the M2 would be more your style. If you like how Beats fit in your ears, then the M3 would be more your style. I like to exercise from time to time when I wear my earbuds, so the form fitting M3's are exactly what I needed. As pure audio earbuds, these sound fantastic. I own over 20 pairs of earbuds. The bass and clarity of these can compete with the best of them. Everyone was able to hear me clearly and vice versa for phone calls. It would have been nice if these had ANC, but again...that's a personal preference. If you like to hear ambient noise for safety reasons, these would be perfect. Maybe it will be an option they will add in the future.Now, let's talk about the translation feature. They were relatively easy to setup, especially if you're used to purchasing the offline translation packages using the proprietary currency called the "fish card". The Timekettle Fish Card is a virtual digital card used to top up your Timekettle account for downloading offline language packages. 5 Fish can redeem a bundle of offline language.I tested these by speaking phrases in Spanish into my phone and then waited for the app to read the phrase back to me in English. At first, I noticed that the first word of every sentence was being cut off. I went into the settings for my earbuds and changed the sensitivity to 30 and the pause time to 2 seconds. That seemed to be the sweet spot (YMMV) to get it to translate the first word of the phrase as well. I also downloaded and tested Spanish to English, Russian to English and Chinese to English. All of them seemed to work flawlessly without needing to access the internet.In summary, I've tried taking Spanish lessons in the past. It takes years to fully learn a new language. These in-ear translators allow you to instantly communicate in multiple languages without years in a classroom. There was a time I wired money to myself in Mexico and when I went to the bank to cash out, I couldn't because I didn't speak the language and nobody was available to translate. That will no longer be an issue thanks to TimeKettle and their wonderful products.I will also follow-up with an unboxing video in the near future.

I wish they made the other style ear piece but my wife like this style. I have to use the ear attachment but they are comfortable and get used every day. I have already used them when I visited China. Easy to travel with. No bigger than any earbuds. And so much more functional. Great sound quality. Only thing this pair is missing is noise canceling but our other pair has that if needed
