The product is as exactly described on Amazon. The foam comes in (2) 3' wide sections so it is easy to handle and properly place on the box spring. The foam is shrink wrapped for shipping so you have to let in unroll and decompress for a couple hours. I was able to trim the width with a long extended razor knife. We have a 14" mattress laying on top of the mattress elevator and it is working very well. Very supportive and secure. The mattress stays in place. We have had no issue with the mattress moving of sliding down. The 5" incline is helping to relieve head and sinus issues. This is a better and safer solution to raising the head of the bed with blocks. Most bed frames are not made to take that type of loading and will fail. This is a good solution and is not very noticeable.

My wife suffers from vertigo spells; when turning over in bed the room starts spinning. After a bit of research, we found recommendations to sleep with one's head elevated. We tried it out using a couple of pillows to raise the head end of the bed. Well that did work, so we started looking for something a bit more permanent. We found the Avana Mattress Elevator and decided to give it a try. The biggest decision we had was whether to go with the 7" or the 5" size. After reading review after review for both of them and also measuring the rise we got from the pillows, we decided to go with the 5" mattress. I am not so sure we shouldn't have chosen the 7". The reasoning is with the pillows the rise was from the waist to one's head. With the 5" mattress elevator, the rise is from your feet all the way up to your head. So this didn't make my fiance feel quite as elevated (head above waist) and she still uses two pillows. Thankfully though, she has not had one spell of vertigo since we have been sleeping on it. I have not had any problems getting adjusted to it. It feels fine to me. Thanks! 😉👍UPDATED 2/21/2020: We have slept using the Avana mattress elevator for quite some time now. My order got to me quickly. Everything looked very clean when I unrolled the two queen sides that I received. My first thought was, "And, I paid what for these?" They didn't seem substantial out of the box. However, sleeping on the under mattress has definitely proved their worth. I put the Avana between my box springs and mattress. The first night was rough because I had never slept on an incline before. But within three days, the Avana became very comfortable to me. This is not because it got softer, but because I got used to the new sleeping setup. Speaking of softer, it has not softened my mattress at all; in fact, it feels just a bit firmer. The Avana at 5" raises your entire bed quite a bit--and I'm short. While it isn't ideal for shorter-statured people, such as myself, it IS IDEAL for the purpose I bought it for--I am feeling so much better than I was!!! The Avana really works. My stomach issues are not over completely, but I've actually gotten up in the mornings feeling normal to almost normal again. The under mattress is pretty much a godsend. Sleeping on my own pillows as usual again has been a slice of heaven. I am definitely a total fan of this concept. Wedges don't provide the gentle slope or the length across your bed that this product does. The Avana keeps you honest. :) It really has made life easier for me. If you are suffering from GERD or sinus issues, I can't recommend this product enough. It's a great inexpensive substitute for an adjustable mattress if you'd like to save money--although it only has one setting, which happens to be great.

The foam was a softer than we wanted but they were quick and accommodating on the return. You can't ask for more.
