Good product. Not to heavy.

I tested this out on my very dry skin after a hot shower. I had worked all day in the hot FL sun and needed a long hot shower to remove all the dirt from digging. This moisturized my skin, didn’t have a scent and left it with a light sheen. The sheen is typical with most oils I’ve used on my skin. By morning my skin looked dry but not as dry and I certainly needed to reapply. This product is made well with all the important factors like being organic. However, it is pure avocado oil. The bottle is small and one must wonder just how this particular brand stacks up against other similar brands in larger bottles in your grocery store.

I ordered this because I wanted to try it in my hair. But it doesn't include instructions; silly as it sounds I have no clue if this is a leave-in or rinse out? So I've yet to try it in my hair. ( I did email the company, waiting to hear back) However, I have used it on my skin and wow...I love it. I imagined it sitting thick and heavy on skin but that's not the case at all. Its lightweight and absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy feel behind. And my husband uses it on his elbows where skin is normally rough and hard. It delivers instant softness and helps to relieve itching.There is noticeable scent. I have sensitive skin and experience no adverse effects.I'm looking forward to trying this in my hair but I'd definitely buy it again just to use on skin. Love the way it softens and moisturizes. It is a small bottle but we use such a small amount of product, the bottle will last quite some time. The price is reasonable.*Update: I received a response from Carlyle within a matter of hours after sending a message regarding use on hair. Excellent customer service!

There's one thing I dread about oil - it's SO freaking heavy on your skin! And if you have problem skin that tends to get dry and then oily, woof... putting oil on your face is begging for your skin to build a zit factory. No thanks! However, you DO need moisture on your skin in order to not look like a prune, so I was willing to give this avocado oil a shot.Putting this on was like putting on a glove of fine silk over my face. It went on light and absorbed really quickly, and now everywhere there was oil feels supple and soft without feeling tacky or sticky. There was no fragrance that I could really detect. I didn't even wash my hands after massaging some of the oil on my face - I just rubbed what I had on my hands onto the backs of my hands and now my hands are soft too! I am in LOVE with this stuff, especially since I have such sensitive skin and have such a hard time finding skin products that don't make me feel awful after using them. I'm looking forward to what kind of glow I'll have in a few days!

Would I buy again, probably not but I will be looking for one that works better.

It has a strong tamper seal on the inside neck of the bottle under the cap that has to be removed first. In the bottle it is a very light golden green color. It doesn’t have a noticeable scent. It soaks into the skin readily and doesn’t look greasy. My skin feels soft and supple after using it. It hasn’t caused any skin reactions nor does it hurt on various scratches on my hands. (Cats play rough) I like it on my kitchen window near the sink so after scrubbing dishes or cleaning I can use it on my hands to nourish them. The price is easy on the wallet.

Too oily for me.
