The most important thing about these shells is that you need to watch a YouTube tutorial first. Once you've seen it, you'll be able to avoid all those mistakes - and it's pretty easy to destroy these if you do it wrong. Just watch the YouTube ... and then this is a 20 minute project. You will need tools to push out the pins and prize the case apart, so if you don't have some, then buy the model that comes with tools. Again, I can't say this enough, watch the tutorials on YouTub BEFORE you start out - as you have to destroy your old keyfob to get the insides out, by which time it's too late to get any other tools you might need. This is a really high quality fob for the money - if you know how to do it.

For the price it's absolutely unbeatable, ignore me saying never again , took ages to take the old key apart and get the old key blade swapped , but once that's done this new replacement key is easy to put together and replace 👌 all working order just be prepared to spend some time with taking part ur old key , will 100% buy another if needed

Bought this as I’ve just bought a 2015 VW Up! and the old key fob was a little worse for wear, with the lock button difficult to press. The product feels good, made from plastic, with the buttons also being the same plastic too (the old one feels like this is a different material to the outer shell)The new case doesn’t come with the internal motherboard, so this needs to be transferred across from the original key, but this means no programming is required and the key will work straight away, but you can only use this new one if you have the old key and all the parts.All parts feel good and was easy to swap the key parts across (the old key takes some force, or the right tools to prise open, and I did break the old fob doing this at a weak point in the plastic).The new case doesn’t come with a pin to secure the plastic parts together, but I transferred this from the old case.I didn’t transfer the key blade from the old case, and instead transferred the entire mechanism, but you can also get a new key cut to the blank blade provided.The key fob does not come with a car branded badge, these can be purchased on eBay for a few £ easily.Overall a good product and really pleased with the result.

was a straight swap for scirocco internals, the key blade hinge is a different size though so you'll need to file the original blade down - I couldn't get the blank cut without being charged £100. be prepared to use a pin tool and file or a mallet to force the the blade to fit.

The media could not be loaded. Why does your description say that this fits a VW Caddy, the circuit board from my VW Caddy 2012 is too big to fit this key fob, there is a definite plastic strip that prevents this. I’m not happy and need to return this. What a mess 😡

Works well and quite straightforward with the tricky bit being getting the glued in glass transponder out without breaking it. To do this I soaked it in nail varnish remover and then used heat from a hairdryer while I gently prised it out. I wedged it back in the new case with tissue paper to make future removal a simple task.
