Excellent backpack - a little different than others
This backpack is probably different from what you're used to. It does exactly what it says it will do and it seems to be extremely well made. This is an excellent travel backpack.I was getting ready to travel for about a month. My old backpack is worn out and has too many outside accessible areas where people could easily get into it or steal items out of it. This one is more buttoned up. It did very well on my trip.Pockets/sections: it has 3 main pocket areas and a pockets inside one section, and a smaller pocket on the top which is inside the main section. (Probably not describing this well.) All the areas are easy to access. I hesitate to say the storage is surprisingly large, because 30L is 30L. But it seems to hold a lot of stuff. My favorite things: the straps stow away! This is fantastic. When you get on a plane and want to put this under a seat (ugh - airplane floors are disgusting) or in the overhead you get pack up all the straps. It's a little fiddly to get them in and out, but this is minor. It's about 20 seconds to store them and 5-10 seconds to get them out. This is a HUGE feature for me. You can store the shoulder straps and the waist strap separately, so you don't need to get out both. This is just fantastic. The laptop/document slot at the very back of the backpack is excellent. it securely and safely holds a laptop, note books, or other items in a thin compartment. I could not be happier with this feature. The two larger pockets/sections are nice and can be filled up with whatever you want. I mostly used these for clothes and toiletries. There is a small zippered pocket on top for items commonly needed items. I used this for my passport, toothbrush, and other stuff I needed to access frequently. The zipper has a security loop so that when it's zipped closed the zipper won't accidentally open and it makes it a little more challenging for somebody to get into it. This is a minor but nice feature. Great attention to detail. The clamshell straps across the front of the pack allow you to compress is and save some space. This is especially helpful when it's full of clothes and you're getting on a plane. It seems to do this fine without putting too much pressure on the laptop area. The front is essentially a clamshell with flaps coming around the front and straps to compress the backpack. The only negative is that you need to undo this straps to get into it. I was able to get what I needed from the laptop pocket and the small top pocket without loosening or unclipping the clamshell straps.Note that as you load it up it can get very fat on your back and that you'll be bumping into things and people with it if you're not careful.

Osprey Sojourn Porter 30L Backpack Review – Plus, Fitting an ROG G22CH Mini PC Inside
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using the Osprey Sojourn Porter 30L for a few months now, its been hiking with me, been to Taiwan, Australia, Japan and Philippines, and I have to say—it’s a solid travel backpack with a great balance of structure, storage, and comfort. It’s designed more for travel than everyday carry, but it still works surprisingly well for a variety of uses. The backpack feels sturdy, has plenty of compression straps, and carries comfortably even when loaded up.Build & ComfortThe material feels tough and durable, which is great if you’re carrying expensive gear inside. The shoulder straps and hip belt are well-padded, and the design allows for a snug fit when adjusted properly. The zippers are solid, and the clamshell opening makes packing and accessing stuff super easy.Storage & OrganizationFor a 30L pack, it’s surprisingly spacious. The main compartment is roomy, and the side compression straps help keep everything compact. The front organization pocket is great for small essentials like cables, chargers, or a notebook. There's also a dedicated laptop compartment that fits a large laptop without issues.Fitting the ASUS ROG G22CH Mini PC InsideNow, here’s the interesting part—I was able to fit my ROG G22CH mini PC inside! This was a bit of an after thought because I was actually going to return the PC after my 2 week trip, but it actually fits and worked better than expected (So I'm keeping it :P).The main compartment is deep enough to fit the G22CH lying flat. The internal compression straps help keep it secured so it doesn’t shift around. There’s enough extra space to pack cables, a power brick, and a keyboard if needed. The padded structure of the backpack gives some protection, though I’d still be cautious when carrying fragile electronics. If you’re traveling with a gaming PC but don’t want to lug around a huge case, this backpack makes it doable. The fit isn’t ultra-snug, but it’s stable enough for safe transport if handled carefully.---Final ThoughtsIf you need a compact yet spacious travel backpack that can even carry something as odd as a mini PC, the Osprey Sojourn Porter 30L is a great choice. It’s well-built, comfortable, and versatile. Whether you’re packing for a trip, carrying work essentials, or—even better—lugging around a compact gaming rig, this bag holds up well.

Very nice!
Very good, thick quality built backpack! I packed 6 days worth for a trip to Italy and had enough room for clothes, toiletries, 1 pair of sandals and 1 pair of tennis shoes. I liked the teal color, which stood out amongst all the black backpacks.it also had good back support. I used it only for getting through the airports from the US to Italy and then kept it at the Airbnb.

Great alternative to traditional carry-on.
My first time purchasing a travel backpack. I selected this one because it opens all the way up instead of having to pack from the top down. The sides are reinforced so that seemed like it would make access even better. I received it and I really like the color in person. Straight out of the packaging, it looked too small. The fabric is better than I anticipated. It's lightweight empty so that is encouraging even though I plan to pack lightly. This is being purchased for a two week European vacation. (I don't want to use my luggage with wheels because the locations I plan to visit have cobblestone terrain.) The laptop section is a major plus. There are also a couple of other separate sections in this backpack! As I've started to pack, I know I made the right decision. The compression element of this backpack is value added too.

Great Design
Love this backpack. the straps, buckles and zippers are all very sturdy and easy to use. It will expand a lot if you end up with more stuff to carry when you are returning from a trip. Even when it's stuffed full it fits in airplanes overhead bins. Great design!
