Excellent
At first, I wasn't too much of a fan but as I transformed it, posed it, gave it different accessories to try out, it has become one of my favorite core classes. Transformation to beast mode is simple with one small gripe that the top of the head does not completely close all the way. However this is a week engineered figure overall and I think its a must have from the recent wave of excellent of core class releases.

It is a good figure for transformers fans of different ages
I have no complaints about the figure except that the tail does not transform. The tail could easily be lost but other than that the figure feels fine and is good in both modes. In the beast mode it can be difficult to align the head so it can look strange.

Tasmania Kid or: How I learned to Stop Hesitating and Love Beast-Formers
In light of the fact I already had representation from G1, G2, Armada, and Energon (Regardless of how much I dislike Core Energon Megatron as a figure) currently in-hand, an intent to get RiD 200 Tow Line, and Beast Machines Universe Cheetor was already inbound (Somebody had to love it, and I wanted that person to me), I decided I would get a companion piece to emphasise just how janky, cursed, and boot-leggy the aforementioned Beast-Machine was in appearance. While it wasn't able - due to stock shortages - to be grabbed immediately, when I did, I was not-at-all let down, surprised, and yes, even enlightened. For starters, the paint detail and sculpting is absolutely immaculate, being very skilfully coloured and intricately-detailed. Additionally, in spite of it being a 3.5" core class figure, a good many joints allow it to be stuck into all manner of dynamic poses..at least in Robot mode.Don't expect it to be able to actually “hold” anything, though, because the hands of robot mode form the hind paws of Beast mode, and while some mysterious peg-holes of unknown purpose do exist its palms/pads, these are not utilised in any fashion in-transformation, or with the accessories. Finally, where transformation is concerned, it's incredibly well-engineered, and is actually as involved as a deluxe. For those seeing the "Backpack" on the robot mode and assuming this would be a cut-and-dry Shell-Former, the only "shelly" part about this is the folding of the animal flanks down, which even include cutouts to accommodate the thighs. The rest is a very fun, surprising set of steps that (at least to me) was a total joy to go through, even if the step where one swings the legs up over the collapsed shoulders can cause them to catch and rub on the arms.Once you do get it into its beast mode, the detail does not cease to amaze, and everything more-or-less sits completely flush. Unfortunately, the pose-ability in this form is much more lacking than the robot mode, but even still, the jaw/heel-spur needing to open as a result of the transformation adds a fair deal of expressiveness to an already detailed, lovingly-rendered Alt-mode.So now that I've quantified my "not being let down" and surprise", I thus go to the "Enlightenment". Have whatever opinion you may, but previously, I was only into vehicle-based figures, possessing a Titans Return Wolfwire/Weirdwolf in the past that failed to impress me, and made me wish I'd gotten someone else instead on that gift-giving occasion. As stated above, while I did have affection towards the animal mode, and the prospect of a tiny Beastformer appealed to me, I mostly got Tasmania Kid to contrast the “Looks like something you'd get at a McDonalld's” Cheetor. After transforming it, and handling the animal mode, however, I can say for an absolute fact something clicked in my autistic brain that caused me to have both a deep appreciation for photo-realistic-animal-formers, an understanding of their fans, and a desire to get more of them to provide some nice contrast to my collection.

I Honestly Just Love That This Exists
I'm a fan of these smaller core class figures. They're a good balance of detail, posability, and simplicity, and there seems to be no corner of Transformer history that they haven't been willing to delve into. The fact that this thing exists is proof of that, and as it says in the title, I'm just so glad it exists.

This figure is an update of the beast wars 2 Tasmania kid. It is faithful to the original and improves on articulation and transformation. It's a small figure and well done. 5 stars.
