can I connect headphones?

The only connection on the unit is an ' Audio in' . I recommend a Hott portable cd player, not only can you connect headphones, many have Bluetooth which can be connected to an external speaker, some are waterproof, and some are rechargeable. While external speakers can be upto 60 watts, rechargeable, and waterproof for use outdoors. Finally, the sound quality on this 'Philips CD Boom Box ', turned out to be poor, particularly at high frequencies, not recommended for House/Rave music. But can be simple to operate for old people.

Pleased with the purchase

Bought the item via Amazon warehouse. As described in the advert, the item arrived with some damage to the packaging and without a power chord. I had a number of spare power leads that worked with the player so that was not a problem and the player itself appeared undamaged. I bought it for the kitchen and in that context I'm happy with the sound of the CD and cassette players and also when I play my MP3 player through it. Haven't tried the FM tuner as I only listen to 6 music and talk sport and neither of those transmit via FM
