locking keybprd with stand

You cannot lock the keyboard but cause of its grip its very unlikely to fall down. Hope this helps ^_^

At one point you mention that Xfinity is continously height adjustable but in features it is given that it has 5 locking points. Which one to believe

It has 5 locking point means have whole to adjust but you can drill it to adjust at any height .

The stand seems locked. Have tried with the middle screw but its also jammed. How to open it?

Try pushing the middle screw from the inner part of the closed stand and pull the outer part (of the screw) simultaneously. With a little force it will get free!
