No way that this player could fit a lithium 18650 battery. Those are larger than AAs and larger diameter than the player thickness. I am guessing that the internal battery is a flat non standard proprietary type. I own a similar but not same brand player. It would not be conveniently compact if it had an 18650 inside.

Hello again, you asked about if this player has an equalizer. I was playing around with the navigation and discovered that it does have an equalizer and several other features like slowing down or speeding up the mp3 and others files. The problem is that the equalizer is difficult to find. I found it by accident. I believe you have to wait until a track is playing then hit the "up button" Then you to scroll up or down to learn the feature set, then move right-to-left. But navigation is a bit squirrelly to select and if you pick wrong, you will have to start over. Hope this helps.

Can you play pandora from your phone on this?

This is an emergency radio... I dont think during an emergency anyone would care if you can play pandora or not.
