The media could not be loaded. The Lingle Travel Luxury Edition Backgammon Set is one of the nicest backgammon sets I have seen in a long time. Made of felt and leather, it is a self contained set that unzips into a game board. The faux horn playing chips are shiny and pretty and have a small indentation on top to make it easy to move them around the board. The board itself is made of felt with leather details and the cover is padded leather. Both of the zippers on the board move smoothly and the zipper pulls have a nice logo detail on them.The set comes with a matching carry strap, however, the swivel snap hook and the D-ring assembly are too lightweight to be the sole support for something this heavy. I can not find a weight on this item, and my scale will not weigh something this small. But despite the padded cover, the game is hard sided and has some real heft to it. If I had to guess, I would say this case weights 1.5 to 2 pounds and is much to heavy for the hardware on the wrist strap. It's simple enough for the little kids to learn and the set includes an instruction pamphlet to teach you how to play. Growing up, we had tons of games to choose from, but we always choose backgammon. Every game of backgammon is different, so you can play the game over and over again without getting bored. It is quite addictive, and if you family members are slightly competitive, you will really enjoy it.Overall, the Lingle Travel Luxury Edition Backgammon Set is much nicer than I expected. My big con with this set, other than the wrist strap, is the bottom of the dice cups. Not to be crass, but it looks like a child glued the bottom of these cups. The lack of attention to detail on the bottom of the cups is a darn shame, because so much care was taken with everything else. At this price point, I would expect it to look better than that and honestly, it wouldn't have been that hard to do it right. It doesn't affect the usage of the dice cups or the play of the game, but why put that much effort into making something beautiful, just to get sloppy at the last piece?! So frustrating. Four stars.

This is a very nice travel set of backgammon! There is only so small you are going to be able to comfortably make the game, and this is very much still a playable size with a solid board. It measures 9.5 inches x 7 inches x 2 inches thick. It is not very small, but I fell like this is a nice size so you still feel like you are playing on a real board before it gets tiny. It includes everything you will need, the game pieces, die, the doubling cube, shakers and directions. The directions are easy to follow and understand and accurate. They are written small and they come in 7 languages. The only thing missing from the directions are information on the doubling cube but I just play to win and if you wanted to learn to use it you could just Google or YouTube it. This is a fun 2-person game, I remember learning and playing as a kid, so good game for all ages. I think I was 8 or 9 when I learned to play.I like the size of the board and I like it for a travel size. I think it is well priced for the game board and would make a great traveling companion or gift for someone who like the game. The quality of the game is representative of the cost of the game.Very nice game set-up that I would recommend.⭐️ 1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality, or it does not reflect the advertising.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or is not priced where it should be for the product.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable. This is a very handsome Backgammon set to be sure. The case is great quality (faux) leather, the zippers are nice, the pieces/accessories are all made well and attractive, and there's enough room for playing/fitting everything back inside when done. The stitching/details are well done, and the colors and design are really fun and retro-inspired (I ordered the orange). The instructions explain the game somewhat well, though I had to go online to print off another set in order to get the detailed refresher I required (it's been a long time).The one thing that I found to be somewhat problematic is that the "larger"-sized zippers can effect how well the board lays flat when opened. They have a tendency to wedge themselves in-between/underneath the two sides in such a way that the case cannot be opened fully. Some finagling and readjusting of their positions helps to get the board laying flat, but I have to work with them every time the board is reopened and get them just so. Not a huge deal, but still kind of annoying.Also, for what it's worth, one reviewer mentioned that the pieces were magnetic--which would be great for a travel set especially. I was a little disappointed to find that the pieces are indeed NOT magnetic. This is through no fault of the seller, as they don't mention it whatsoever, but I guess it's worth mentioning in case someone else reads through the reviews and gets excited about having the extra convenience of (nonexistent) magnetic pieces.
