does marine goop work on glass

I have only used it on the polyethylene hull of my kayak to mount the transducer of my fish finder. It works best when the surface is roughened with sand paper first. I assume that you could not do that with glass. Also, I have found plumbers goop to work just as well, and is easier to find.

Search for "Silicone Self Fusing Repair Tape" in Amazon or Walmart or Lowe's or Home Depot. It might be better for a rubber hose. Plumber GOOP 150011 has been around for MANY years. I used it in the previous century (1900-something) to glue the threaded top of a 2-liter plastic bottle to the side of a glass bottle that I drilled a hole into - for a science project about vacuum effects. It lasted more than 20 years till I threw it away when I was cleaning out the garage. Today I use GOOP to reinforce the plug ends of USB cables. It also makes it easier to grasp the plug to remove it. A limb fell on my skylight years ago and caused a crack. UV resistant Marine GOOP took care of that so it does not leak. It has yellowed over time, but my wife won't allow me to climb on the roof anymore.
