nothing is perfect so this still gets 5 stars but the adjustment ...
I used this in my shower tile demo about 2 months back so my memory is a little fuzzy. In my estimation, when hooked up to my 5hp shop vac, it reduced dust by 80-95%. It was an extremely noticeable difference. I used it to cut lengths down my shower surround every 24 inches to make it easier to use my crowbar to peel the wire mesh holding the 2 inch thick cement and tile to the wall studs. I know that the dust difference is that big because I had to stop using my angle grinder for the shower and use it real quick for another task that did not need the dust shroud so I took it off; when I came back to grind more tile/cement/wire mesh I attempted to finish the small section I had left without the dust shroud. Wow! A ton of dust! I wouldn’t have done that if I had known how much dust that would have caused.Secondly, it has a depth gushed wh/ was not anything I needed it for but if not cutting too deep is important then this is another option this toll comes with.Thirdly, nothing is perfect so this still gets 5 stars but the adjustment screw to fasten the shroud to my angle grinder is tricky to get to with certain screwdriver lengths and shaft thicknesses. One more positive thing, I didn’t have to buy a hose adapter (I think it’s a 1 and 1/4 inch) since it already had an attachment that came with it.

Cut tile without a wet saw
Using a continuous edge (NOT segmented) Diamond wheel in a 4.5"/5" cordless Makita grinder, this easily installed device helps keep the dust out of your face and out of your lungs while dry cutting. Free-handing a cut, is still possible, but the flat base-plate makes it easier to keep the cut wheel at a 90 degree angle while staying true on your cut line. I'm not a tile Pro. I'm not an amateur, either. I love this attachment. I'm going to point-up my front porch foundation brick with a tuck-and-point cut wheel using this cutting guard, next Spring. A welcomed addition to my assortment of grinder-enhancing devices.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075F6J399/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

Worked great
It was a royal pain in the but to get on but once I got it all together it worked great. Downside was just like one of the other reviews, I had to put some duct tape on the one side that was open. Once I did though it got probably 95% of the dust which was awesome. One other down side is that you can’t get right up to the edge of the wall. Left about 3 to 4 inches that I had to chisel out

Works to eliminate dust.
It worked great with my Mikita 4 1/2” grinder and my shop vac. I used it to cut tile and eliminated probably 95% of the dust. Also used horizontal dust shroud with diamond wheel. It worked just as good.

Setting the blade in the comcrete before the shoe is easy to do but a big dusty mistake
Works well after I taped a clear piece of plastic over the 2 inch by 4 inch hole you can see on the left side of the unit. It should come with a plastic shield so 4 stars. Be careful when using this to go the correct direction toward the vacuum otherwise dust goes everywhere. It should have a dirrectional arrow. Put the top of the shoe firmly on the concrete and then rotate/rock the unit to drop the blade into the concrete otherwise dust will go everywhere. Setting the blade in the comcrete before the shoe is easy to do but a big dusty mistake.
