Needed a three piece handle for my inflatable SUP. The SUP is in a small bag so the handle had to fit which eliminated two piece designs. This size was perfect. The weight was good too. Probably the lightest three piece paddle out there but obviously some two piece and definitely one piece paddles are lighter. The paddle has a lot of flex. That can be good or bad. I liked the flex because it was much easier on the shoulders when paddling. You definitely notice the flex when you begin your stroke but at the end of the stroke, most of that energy is restored when the paddle straightens out and the blade whips out the final few inches. I felt faster and could go longer much easier with this paddle. The flex could be bad if you are trying to sprint with short strokes because you are not getting the maximum efficiency. That probably applies to only pros.I dinged it two stars because of the handle. The handle is a plastic piece that came from an injection mold. It wasn't cleaned up properly, Sharp edges and even some gouges right where my palm goes. I'm sure I can sand it down and make it smooth but I wasn't expecting that.

This is a very poor quality flimsy, flexy, paddle and has a lot of play in the connection joint. I immediately am returning it, and Amazon is charging me $8 to return it. I do not recommend this paddle at all. 👎
