I've been using DrFormulas Original DHT Blocker for several months now, and I've noticed a positive change in my hair health. A bit of background... I was taking a higher rated brand for almost 2yrs. with minimal results which I was getting less and less satisfied with over time. Then they started to jack up the cost, nearly doubling it in very short order. Well, I decided that it wasn't worth it, so I went back to the drawing board and did research. Came across this product on hair health product rating sites (medical) over and over and decided to give it a try. I began taking it at 1/2 strength alongside 1/4 strength of the other product in order to not suddenly change dosing (they contain the same ingredients, but at diff't amts.).... I began to notice a significant difference in shedding within 1wk. Now the shedding was already down from the other product, to be fair, but the DrFormulas took it down a noticeable amt. Most noticeable was the significant change in the texture of the hair. Within 3wks the texture went back to what my hair had always been prior to a health crises ending in life-threatening anemia which was the catalyst for the immune system attacking hair follicles & DHT levels being problematic. My remaining hair went from coarse and brittle back to natural state of thick and soft. I change nothing but the DHT blocker supplementation from a diff't, more expensive, supposedly better brand to the DrFormuals brand without biotin. I can't speak to changes in rate of hair growth because my hair has always grown very fast; all I can say on that is that the supplement didn't slow down the rate of growth. I will note that the results came about taking the supplement at 1/2 strength, too.... My system is sensitive and responsive enough to not require full strength dosing -- as I suspect could be the case for many other folks, too. Please note that I also take ginger root daily as well -- I note that because ginger root has also been shown to play a DHT blocking role; though the extent to which it does so is still not well studied/documented. I also appreciate the option of this being biotin free since I take a multi-vitamin daily.... I've experienced no side effects at all. Writing this review just prior to reordering.... This product will be replacing the DHT blocker I was using completely... It works much better than the supplement it's replacing at half the cost (when factoring in dosing requirements).

This product works great but I've noticed since taking it libido has decreased. Now looking to a topical solution

You have to be taking this for at least months Tina year to really see any results. Weak hair follicles take at minimum 8 weeks start thickening up again. Better to be patient with this product.

I have been on this for over a month now. I am seeing tiny hair growth so hoping this does the trick.

I cannot say enough good things about these vitamins! I lost a lot of my hair several years back after giving birth at 30 and also constantly bleaching my hair! I tried everything for years to get my length and thickness back! Other vitamins have biotin in them that cause me to have cystic acne! So I did some research and found these! I have been taking these for almost 2 years now! Not even consistently. There are days that I miss or times when I do not have the money to buy another bottle but my hair Started growing like crazy and becoming thicker after two bottles! I tell everyone about these vitamins! And I will forever take them as long as it’s available. First picture was my hair before it all fell out! Second picture was what I was left with for years! Third picture is my hair currently after almost 2 years of taking these vitamins.

Waste of money

It seems to reduce the hair shedding but I am not sure about hair growth. I am currently on the 2nd bottle and not sure if I should continue after this.

Used as advised and unfortunately didn’t work for me. I heard great things about it, but not for me.
