Q: If I get a bit too tipsy and pass out in the shower and wake up six hours later will I still have hot and toasty water?

Yep. The water stays hot as long as you keep running water.

Q: will there be enough water for 2 or even 3 people taking showers at once?

Two for sure; maybe three. Always depends on the water flow rate. The minimum flow (to turn on the water heater) is 0.4 gallons per minute. The max output for this unit is 7.5 GPM at 120 degrees. We run our RU98 at 115 degrees and it's plenty hot enough. Max flow for the RU98 is almost 10 GPM. If you absolutely need the capability for 3 showers at one time, consider a higher capacity unit. Also consider how far the unit is from the point of use (shower). My unit is 50 feet (pipe length) from the shower and wastes about 2.5 gallons of cold water before the hot water shows up.

Q: i have a 4600 sq ft house w/ 3.5 bathrooms. will this unit be appropriate?

no - we had a 4600 sq ft home with 4 baths and 6 adults. we had two installed and never ran out of water ever even if all other appliances were going and we were all taking showers.

Q: What does this come with, and what do you need to purchase extra in order to install it and run it?

Valves.... You will need hangers for the wall, venting system, and lots of sharkbite water fittings. A simple 4 hour DIY. with all the right parts.
