Great design, but sub-par clasps
Review is based on buying, using, and replacing various brands of shirt gartersPros:1. Unique designs2. Material is softer and the leather pivot on the leg is a nice touch. Helps reduce pulling/catching on leg hair3. Easy to adjust in the momentOne big Con:The clasps: the disappointing element is that the clasps that hook onto the shirt tails and socks are inferior quality to the rest of the item. I got about 50 wears and the material around the hook and loop is tearing. They probably won't last much longer. At twice the price of the conventional brand, this is very disappointing.

With a little finesse and getting use to, these make you look sharp!
very good but takes getting used to, both putting them on, and wearing them...and you have to be delicate with the little parts that connect to your socks. I've bent those a few times, but able to fix with a few gentle taps with a hammer. Just do not force them, and thinner socks work best. The first few days you walk around with these will be awkward, just make sure they aren't too tight. Vary the placement of the connections on your shirt and socks to find what works, and adjust them a bit every time unless all your shirts and socks are the exact same length & height. Overall, I'm pleased and will buy again - they do make you look good and take only a little getting used to. Cheers!

I mean... they work
In all honesty they are incredibly annoying to use. I eventually got better at putting them on, but even with enough practice them seemed to add an unnecessary amount of time to my morning routine. There was just too much room for error and it is especially frustrating when one pops out during the day. They work perfectly for what they do but they just aren’t user friendly. On a positive note the build quality is excellent and the designs are cool.

Five Star Garter
I just ordered a replacement for the same garter, the last one gave me over two years of near-daily service. The old one is still good, but one of the rubber units on the sock clasp is coming loose. These are comfortable, don't loose their stretch, and last way longer than the cheaper ones the sell at Mens Wearhouse or at the military BX.

and they work great. But a word to the wise
Been wearin' em for a couple days, and they work great. But a word to the wise, if you carry a little weight around the front, you'll need to adjust where you clip it; for us front-heavy guys, clipping it as shown makes it a little snug in front, and a little baggy in back. Just a word to the wise....*EDIT*Still working great, with one caveat; I've seen the negative reviews, and I agree, the adjuster tends to slip under continued tension. But, the fix is extremely easy, especially if most of your shirts are the same size. Just put a safety pin right below the adjuster at your desired length, and that will keep it right where you want it In perpetuum. And also, if you have lost a bit of weight, these things will show it, and people will constantly comment on how good that lost weight looks. And if your shirts tend to make you look like you need to lose weight when you don't, these puppies will fix that problem, and people will be constantly commenting about the weight you've lost. Even when you haven't...

Does not hold under tension!!
I am a restaurant manager that works a lot of hours and basically tired of always tucking my shirt back in. I have used shirt stays of varying types. Some work well for a month until the clasps wear out and no longer hold. Others have metal backs and depending will dig into my skin on my calves or thighs. Not good at all! Then I see these stylish looking shirt stays with rave reviews. As far as looks and comfort these shirts stays are very nice. They attach nicely and do not irritate like other shirt stays I have tried. They actually hold very well!My only complaint and the whole reason for purchasing shirt stays is to have enough tension to hold your shirt down and socks up... these just don't do that. The adjustment clasp does not hold and will slip under any amount of tension. I don't know if I have a bad pair or what? I'm going to see what KK and Jay will do for me and then I'll update my rating based on that.

Has issues
They come undone too easily and the buckle doesn’t stay in place. Had high hopes since these were endorsed by a YouTuber I watched but I wouldn’t buy them again.

Love KK & J, but wish they sold the individual fasteners.
I've been using these shirt stays for years and they are truly the best. The fasteners are made of a kind of fabric that holds way better than the plastic or other fabric kinds. The only issue is that they start to fray and eventually tear off. I wish I could find the fasteners sold individually so I can replace them as they break.
