This is a beautifully made instrument that offer's excellent value for money and sounds good too!The Kmise Banjulele that I have now is a replacement instrument that I bought when Kmise failed to respond to my request for help when the small string on my first one kept breaking.I explained that the smallest string ("A") broke as I started to tune it in for the first time. It looked like the knot had not been tied very well in the factory (too small) and it pulled though the hole (at some speed!) and whipped past my face.A new knot was tied, but due to the nature of the nylon string it again fractured before it had reachedenough tension for it to be tuned to the correct pitch - presumably because I had tied it again and the nylon string could not be knotted twice in the same area ?Undeterred, I knotted the opposite end that was previously wound around the tuning key, but again this snapped off in exactly the same place where the string passed though the chrome plated string retaining plate. (it probably has a "proper" technical name)!During these three breakages of the smallest "A" string, the other 3 strings on the instrument were unaffected and remained in tune and with no problems.This string (already fitted three time previously) was now too short to fit for a fourth time as it had lost a little length with the previous breakages, so I used the spare "A"string that Kmise supply with every new ukulele.The new string also snapped in exactly the same place so I contacted Kmise using the email provided on their "Service Card" , but I got no response (I have still not received any response), so I returned the Banjulele to Amazon and bought another one.My replacement Kmise Banjulele has been excellent and has had no problems. I enjoy playing it and I like the tone of the instrument that is different to my Kmise Soprano and my Kmise Concert ukulele's - rather more brash and "banjo like", just what I expected it to be.My only concern is the lack of response from Kmise despite including a Service Card with every new instrument that encourages the new owner to "feel free to contact us by sending an email to [email protected]".......followed by ......."we promise to provide you the best after sales service to solve the problem".This clearly didnt happen in this instance, but I remain a fan of the Kmise ukuleles and hope that this was a "one-off" failure and will continue to enjoy the instruments that I have bought form them.

Great instrument

Reasonably priced and everything impeccably packed. A very nice bundle with spare strings, plectrums, tuner, strap and key for tightening drum head. Only had to fit the bridge and re-tune. A great banjolele.

Apart from the stap's button that was broken, everything else seems ok. It would be nice to have a manual, 1-2 pages with instructions on how to set-up the banjolele (with some pictures as you do have here).

It is a great instrument, however for me I prefer the tenor size, I have a tenor already and that size was unfortunately out of stock. That is the only reason I returned it. For the price great value 10/10

Received my kmise well packed and in good order. It was easy to set the bridge and tuned up easily. The next few days I played it was just barely out of tune then the strings stretched and it stayed in tune. I’ve been playing a little over a year and wanted a banjole and this one seemed the best value for the price I found. As for sound it is great it’s loud like a banjo so most practice is done outside. Craftsmanship is good I’ve seen no defects so far and am pleased with my purchase. Would recommend it as a second uke but would suggest a regular uke for beginning as chords sound different on a banjoele. To my old ears (73) at least.

aus einer Laune heraus bin ich auf die "Banjolele" gestoßen und hab mir die aufgrund des wirklich günstigen Setpreises ( alles dabei, was wichtig ist - Gurt, Saiten, Stimmgerät, Tasche, Plektren, Werkzeug, Tonabnehmer ) bestellt ohne eine großartige Erwartung zu haben. Aber beim Auspacken hab ich schon gemerkt, dass das kleine Instrument wirklich gut ist - ich hatte vorab im Netz schon einige Rezensionen über die KMISE-Banjolele angeschaut, und auch die waren durchweg positiv. Ich kann das nur bestätigen, es macht wirklich sehr viel Spaß, ist natürlich aufgrund des schweren Korpus' deutlich schwerer als eine Ukulele, aber dafür auch deutlich lauter und klanglich trotz der Nylon-Saiten als Banjo erkennbar. Die Qualität der Teile ist auch gut, Mechaniken, Hals, Saitenlage, Bünde, Optik - es ist wirklich alles gut und es macht wirklich Spaß, damit zu spielen. Einziger Wermutstropfen: der Klang der Saiten nimmt in den höheren Lager deutlich ab, ab dem 7. Bund klingt der Ton nicht mehr aus sondern ist nur noch ein sehr kurzer "Plop".... jetzt spielt man eher selten in so einer Lage, aber meine Ukulele von Ortega klingt halt einfach auch in höheren Lagen deutlich länger. Aber in Relation zum Preis ist das alles noch wirklich hinnehmbar. Also - für alle, die mal einen anderen Sound ausporbieren wollen - eine klare Empfehlung. Es gibt auch bei Youtube viele Rezensionen, sind in jedem Fall auch Wert, sich zu erkundigen, wenn man sich nicht ganz sicher ist. Die Saiten gehören ausgetauscht, das muss man beim Budget noch mit einplanen.

I suspect that some exemplars are very satisfactory while others are unplayable, like the one I received. The frets are very sharp (fixable with a fret file, but shouldn't be necessary). The worst thing is that the neck is bent backwards causing the action to be very low and there's lots of fret buzz. It makes a very unpleasant sound. I have adjusted everything possible with no significant improvement. To fix the problem would necessitate major alteration to the neck and the product could break irreversibly. The build quality is also not great. Some details look very sloppily done.I tried contacting Kmise by email. They didn't respond at all yet after 4 days, despite promising a 48 hour response time and 6 months warranty. I returned it and bought a much superior banjolele for almost the same price (Harley Benton BJU-15Pro).

El banjo es precioso. Tiene el tamaño de un ukulele concierto. Yo nunca había tocado un banjo, así que no sé que tan valida es mi opinión, pero suena muy bien y me parece de buena calidad.Trae todo lo que dice la imagen.
