It seems sturdy, I bought it for my 4 year old, so that's important. It'll get a better test after Christmas. But it plays faster than I would like. Still seems like a decent price for what you get. It does not open, and the gears won't be exposed, which is good for what I want. If it breaks I don't know if I would be able to fix it though.

I gave this to my 3 year old as a stocking stuffer and she loves it. It is very pretty looking and sounding. Anytime we have friends over to play, the music box always ends up being fought over. The reason I give 4 stars is because the screws come loose, I realized that after she lost one within an hour of opening it. We ended up finding it and now I check them regularly.

The product arrived sooner than later and is prettier than the pictures you see here. The instrument has a decent array of notes as opposed to others. I listened to other lilium music boxes and the notes would not have enough spacing. Unfortunately, I think this thing plays a little too fast; maybe because it's brand new. The gears are also slightly uneven. When I place it down, the box's weight is on the key which might prevent music from playing.

My grandson loves this music box. He has accidentally broken several snow globes, so this seems much safer and more durable. He loves the music sound. I had to superglue the ends on the posts that hold it together so he wouldn't remove them, but it has already given him a lot of pleasure and looks like it will not break easily.

Arrived in pieces as the screws holding the box together came loose. The song is played at a higher tempo than I expected. My son loves his new music box.

This music box is inexpensive, it is very difficult to find music boxes that play this music, and for the pricing I recommend it. If you have plenty of spending cash I recommend a music box with higher note count.

Bought for my 4 year old for a Christmas present. He's had it 6 months now and it still looks and sounds great. I love that you can see what's going on inside to play the music.

My 2.5 yo grandson loves to watch, but the legs come off(unscrew) really easily so if you are letting a little one hold it you should probably take them offf
