Perfect for Smaller Ear Canals. Work great!
I have tried every kind of ear plug there is, but they don't fit into my ear, or they fall out, or they don't block any sound, and or they hurt when I lie down. I have smaller ear canals than average So if you have the same issue, these are perfect for you. They're also very good at blocking out sound. It's not 100% but it's more than enough to help you get to sleep. What I just suggest is to make sure you keep them clean, washing them with alcohol or hydrogen peroxide fairly regularly because your earwax will collect on them and you'll be pushing it down into your ear. It happened to me so I had wax deep into my ear and it hurt. I Couldn't get it out on my own, I had to go to the doctor to do it. But these are well worth it. They come connected on a plastic string which I put behind my head. I like it because I can take one out and let it hang if I want to hear something or someone, then I just stick it back in when done. They do break off of that string but you can still use them without it for sure. They will always snap off at some point. Perfect if you have small ear canals.

Nice and clean
Works great. Easy to clean. They do tangles a bit when cold but thats not a deal breaker. They do come with a carrying fabric bag which i love because they are clean when I put them away and clean when I take them out to use.

I can't hear you...
Great product. I bought this for 2 reasons: 1. To reduce noise during air travel. 2. For hearing protection while shooting. It succeeds in both, and is a big improvement over the various solutions I had been using. While flying, I like noise protection to reduce the ambient airplane noise (not to mention the noise of chatty passengers) while I am reading. I fly a lot, but do not like using any type of electronic noise reduction for many reasons, including the restriction on using electronic devices below 10,000 feet. My solution up to this point was an expensive set of Israeli-made SilentEar earplugs that were supposedly really good, but just would not stay put in my ears despite trying several sizes. This product fits my ears *perfectly* and results in a quieter environment, so will be coming with me on all future flights. While shooting, I have been using various brands of ear muff style hearing protection, including ones from Stanley, Beretta and Browning. Besides being bulky, nearby gunfire still sounded LOUD. But with these, the sound is now tolerable, and I don't have to fill up 1/4 of my range bag with big bulky ear muffs. You get 3 sets in this package, which is nice and very good value. The only cautionary note I will add is that in each set I got, the yellow cord connecting the two ears was tied in such a tight knot that I almost could not get it apart. For a moment I actually considered *cutting* the knot, thinking that it was not part of the cord, but quickly realized that doing so would cut the cord between the 2 earpieces. You can untie the little knots - if you have patience. [Update: For some time now, they have come tied with knots that are much easier to untie, unlike the earlier version, thus no longer an issue.] I like them! Sorry, what was that you said??? UPDATE ONE YEAR LATER: It puzzles me why a few people have had such trouble with these and think they don't work. Unlike what a few others have reported, these work really well for me at the range, and in fact when I have tried wearing ear muffs over the top of these I really can't detect any further reduction in sound. For anyone who has had trouble or think they don't work, be sure that you have inserted them properly and completely. As the instructions indicate, you have to pull out on your ear lobe with one hand while inserting them into your ear with the other - you can't just push them in with one hand because they won't go in far enough to fully seal the ear canal. When properly inserted, you *will* notice the difference - a feeling that I can best describe as being "cut off" from the world. If you don't feel that, they are not inserted properly and you will NOT get anywhere close to the level of sound reduction that these can provide. Anyway, these work just great for me, and I am about to order more. UPDATE, several years later: I keep buying more, because I am concerned about my hearing, and these help a lot. If you don't do anything around noise, you won't need these, but most of us do. My latest use, which perhaps negates my original title a bit, is to wear while out on my side-by-side ATV, which is quite noisy. I keep several pairs of these in the vehicle, to wear myself, for my spouse to wear, and for guests. While they greatly suppress the noise of the ATV, my spouse and I actually *can* easily hear each other while wearing these. Seems perfect. I've seen a lot of silly comments by others here, who say that: * They are uncomfortable. True, you won't want to wear them all day. That would be true of any hearing protection. * The state of California says that they are "known to be carcinogenic." Perhaps true if you eat them, but half of the things I have purchased lately have come with such a warning. I live in the real world, not California. * They don't work. Well, they do for most people - especially if you insert them correctly.

Great earplugs
Great ear propane seals nicely, the material is soft and easy to insert into ear. I like the ridge design which is my preference in ear plugs and it does a great job at protecting your ears for loud noises.

Having trouble getting these to work and cancel out the noise at the gym
I bought these to wear at the gym because I get so tired of people talking loudly on their phone next to me as I use the treadmill or stationary bike. However, maybe it is me that I don't know how to insert them but they really don't seem to be helping cut the conversation going on next to me. They are very nice -- nicely made and it is really cool they come with a little black pouch which makes it easy to carry them in my gym bag. I'm going to continue working with them to try to figure out how to use them effectively; it is very possible this is "user error".

I prefer these over the foam plugs
Pros: 1. Comfortable fit without being itchy 2. Cord is lightweight, durable 3. Works as expected to cut down the intensity of noise Cons: 1. The cord transmits rubbing noises of the cord to the earplug I use these ear plugs mostly when I'm in the garage running my woodworking tools and/or the shopvac, but also at the range. Like every other ear plug or earmuffs I've ever tried, this isn't "soundproof" as in you won't hear anything, but it just cuts down the intensity of the sound. Putting them on is the equivalent of being able to just turn down the noise and everything being muffled. These triple flanged earplugs have a 26 dB NRR. These plus ear muffs at the range equals excellent hearing protection. And unlike the foam plugs, which inevitably start to itch my ear canal, I haven't noticed that kind of irritation with these, even after extended wear in the shop or the range. I also haven't noticed any fatigue either. Ear canals aren't sore or irritated afterwards. The cord is nice because when I'm in the shop, I just take out the plugs and let them dangle around my neck and know exactly where they are. Unlike taking off the ear muffs and trying to find a clean place for them. It's also easy to store them by hanging by the cord on a hook. And the soft rubbery material is pretty easy to wipe off and keep clean between uses. The only down side would be if you're using these plugs for silence, such as for studying, the cord will transmit any sound from rubbing against your shirt, etc, and would probably drive you crazy in a quiet environment. In the shop or the range, I don't notice it so much due to all the racket.
