That dog destroyed thousands of dollars of electronics, chewed through about 20 - 25 cords one day while I was gaming, and I heard her yelp like she was dying, and saw she apparently found a live wire after stealthly destroying half my electronics that I had for sale.. Shes ok, no harm, just a close call. She hasn't tried that again since, but this is just in case. Don't want to lose my girl. Its currently protecting 2 outdoor drop cords (you know... the orange ones) that feed my outdoor kitchen. It lays down nice and flat and has even contoured to the uneven surface area that includes grass, concrete, and fake grass. We're building a deck over that soon, but this is just in case until that happens.

This seems like a very sturdy cord cover, but I should have read more closely that you have cut the channels open yourself. That should have been done by the manufacturer. It loses a star for that.

Product is as advertised. A little stiff and can take some time to straighten out, but on a hard surface it will eventually flatten out.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Months later, it still won't lay flat enough to use.

I read the reviews before I bought this regarding it not laying flat. When I received this I could tell it was going to be tough to get it to flatten out. Well after 6 weeks I have given up and I have thrown it in the trash. Wasted my money on this junk. I tried leaving it flattened out in the sun for two days. I kept weights on it for weeks at at a time. Once I remove the weights it begins to curl up and in two days it almost curls back up into a ball. I even tried heating it up with a heat gun to make it more flexible but nothing I have done stops it from curling back up. Only buy this if you want to throw away your money for something useless.

I am very pleased with this product. It is made well and is very heavy duty. It lays flat and stays in place...no adhesive needed. It was easy to cut using a razor blade knife and to insert the cords. I put two lamp cords through the middle track with ease. The dark brown color was perfect for my dark hardwood floor. Great product.

Functions as expected. Takes time to flatten out.

We finally had time recently to put down the "Simple Cord Floor Cord Cover - 4 Ft Duct Cord Protector Covers Cables, Cords, or Wires". We have tried to reduce the amount of cords we have near the floors but some can't be avoided and that is why we decided to try this out. We do have a preference of the brown vs the black cover and that's only due to the flooring in the room (floors are wood color) but whether brown or black, the cover functionality is what matters and it works as intended. It helps corral the cords and cables (we're using it for 1 cord and 1 network cable to a PC that we can't get to work via bluetooth) and helps keep them out of harms way. At 4 ft, it works in our home because we don't have a big home and the area is limited so we are happy with it. I still worry a little that I'll trip on it but that can't be avoided and so far, I haven't tripped yet. Overall, it works as intended for our household.
