25 Easy Bilingual Nonfiction Mini-Books: Easy-to-Read Reproducible Mini-Books in English and Spanish That Build Vocabulary and Fluency―and Support the Social Studies and Science Topics You Teach

My 5-year-old granddaughter is already a fluent reader in English, so we wanted to expose her to bilingual books as well. Of course, her Spanish vocabulary is weaker, so she needed a lot of repetitive words in a story. These Non-Fiction Bilingual Books are just what she needed! The stories are simple, with Science, Social Studies & Math themes, lots of repetitive vocabulary (self-explanatory due to English words on top of pages), and black-&-white pictures (allowing for copies if used in a school situation). She loves to color the pictures; it makes her feel as if she is making her own book. I highly recommend them for use by a teacher of a bilingual or ESL class, or by a parent who us looking to help his/her child become a more proficient bilingual reader. My granddaughter mastered the first book in one day and couldn't wait to show off her new skills to her family!

Good for either beginning English speakers or beginning Spanish speakers. I use these to provide extra practice with basic Spanish vocabulary for my kids taking a Spanish 1 class. First, I white out the English text (other than the cover page) before copying the booklets. Then, we practice pronouncing the Spanish sentences in the book orally together. After that, we translate the pages together orally. Then, they read the books independently for extra practice and retention of their new Spanish vocabulary.

I really like this product and I recommend it to anyone with children. I read these stories to my two daughters and they seem to greatly enjoy the easy language learning process. I do have one complaint though. When my book arrived. two of the stories had pages that were not completely copied. I am unable to see two pages of the "America the Beautiful" story and two pages of the "Friends" story. Two of the pages on both stories did not copy over correctly leaving me with just a gray, grainy page. The rest of the stories are wonderful though and, assuming all the pages of the book are copied correctly, I highly recommend this book to anyone with children.

I have purchased these Scholastic books for years, although this is the first time I have gotten the Spanish version. They are great. This may not be a beginner set, but are a great second set. I like that it came in English and Spanish. I am currently using them with my son, to promote reading in Spanish. I like that he reads them in English first and then again is Spanish. They are super easy to copy and can be reused if needed.

Not what I was expecting. Book came badly bent up. Looked like a second hand poorly cared for book. Giving as a gift unable to return in a timely manner. Thought was going to have more colored illustrations

the books were excellent quality and easy to read. Fast Delivery and I am very happy

These mini books are great! I cut off the English and my 5 year old reads them to me in Spanish only.

This was a great price on an amazing resource. I'll be using this when I volunteer to teach English at a little school in Mexico in March. The supplemental activity plans sound great. Thanks for making this available!

Solo son dibujos en blanco para sacar copias. La foto es engañosa porque parece que vienen a color. No es un libro util para nada pues facilmente podrias imprimir imagenes del internet. // You shouldn't have to pay for black and white printouts, just get them off the internet. Photos and description are misleading. Completely useless.

Uma decepção … o livro tem tamanho A4, com folhas em gramatura de jornal (ruim até para colorir), essas folhas são destacáveis, mas não coincidem … então temos de cortar em 4 e grampear. Não são livros, são um engano ao consumidor.
