Q: Just received pedal but it does the opposite of sustain: holding down stops note, leaving up sustains. how can i reverse that?

It's important to have the pedal plugged in before you turn the keyboard on. Try disconnecting everything, plug in pedal, then plug in keyboard. Hopefully this will correct the problem. This should reverse the sustain polarity. Good luck.

Q: Will it work with ni komplete kontrol s88 mk2?

There is a pretty good chance that this pedal will work. You might have to go into the midi value of the keyboard and change the polarity (not a big deal) as this pedal doesn't have a polarity switch. I had tp do this to use with my Arturia Keylab 88. You could also reverse the wiring if necessary but why bother, easier to do it in the midi assign.
