Great Gift to Oneself and Loved Ones
For my 25th wedding anniversary, a friend sent me a card with one of the blessings from this book. I was so touched by the quote that I looked the book up and decided to order a copy for myself and to give as gifts. My husband and I have decided to find appropriate blessings to read to each other before bed every night. O'Donahue is a masterful writer of lyrical prose who wrote this book with such a depth of insight that every choice I've read so far has spoken to my heart in a unique way. This book is not meant to be read in whole, but to be read in part, as needed. I don't want to ever run out of fresh blessings and want them to go on and on. You will find that you will want to give away the blessings to others whose needs come to mind as you read. This book is a classic forged from experiencing life to the fullest and relationships at their dearest. This is written by one who knows the One great Giver of Blessings.

Benedictus - a book of blessings
I purchased this book for one of my daughters for Christmas. She was thrilled to receive it, especially since we found the author's poem on Grieving so impressive when we came across it a few years back. She was very pleased to have the book in her possession. - This item was purchased through Amazon.com.

Inspirational
John O'Donohue writes meditative poetry. This book has become a treasured part of my "Quiet Time" reading and never fails to inspire new directions of thought. I am very thankful to the friends who introduced his work to me, and I am pleased to recommend it to others.

To be Read Aloud, Shared by Printed Word, or Mark an Event by Reading to Self
John O'Donohue is a master . . . a touching, meaningful, poem for each of life's occasions. To be read aloud, shared by printed word, or to mark an event by reading to Self. A treasure.

Precisely the same as To Bless the Space Between Us
Other than a slightly different size format, heavier paper, black ink rather than blue, and different pagination, Benedictus: A Book of Blessings (2007) is the original publication of To Bless the Space Between Us: A Book of Blessings (2008). I may have missed something in the descriptions when I purchased them to sift through for relevant blessings to offer up in public worship settings, but that wasn't clear to me when I purchased them. The poetic, Celtic Christian-inspired blessings are rich and wonderful all the same.

A blessing in itself
What a moving book of blessings. It's my go to book for guidance and to share with others. It's a blessing in itself. Thank you John, wherever you are.
