occasional flickering and sensitive to cable movement
The product is okay; I use this adapter to connect an older Apple monitor to my recently replaced Macbook Pro that has only USB-C connections. If the cable connection is jostled, touched, etc the monitor flickers off so I jostle the connection to bring the monitor back online. Also, since my monitor also includes sound, there is occasional static popping sounds-I'm waiting to see/smell if smoke starts to appear around the monitor!

Works great until it stops working
Was working as designed until it starts flickering and no longer works. Lasted for 1 year and 4 months.

Got two of those, My setup is Macbook -> This DP Adapter -> Apple DP to DVI-DL adapter - > Good old Dell 30".

Make use of old Apple Cinema Display on new PC

Plug and play. I was able to add my second Apple display with this adapter for USB-C. Desktops are extended and not mirrored. Perfect adapter.

Product stopped working
It worked fine the first few months. Now the monitor display turns dark every 3-5 minutes
