A Great read!
The book was a little slow at the beginning but ended well. I still felt I was missing a piece of Jackson's story and it would have been nice to hear Jackson's thoughts about what was happening between him and Alexa. But I was glad to see Alexa stand her ground and fight for him. And I was equally as glad for him to fight for her. It'll be interesting to see if another book comes out; maybe not necessarily their story, but a different band member's and mentioning Jackson & Alexa from hime to time.Overall? You'll be glad you read the book!

UGH!! Frustrated!
I really loved the start and middle of this book. It had soo much potential!!! I'm so angry because I was really loving it then towards the end it was way to rushed! We needed to get more of the whole love thing, maybe a few more things played out. I think another book would of been a great idea, since this was so short and rushed. The epilogue did nothing for me. I wish it would of maybe wrapped some stuff up. I did love Alex and Jackson and the other characters. Hadley is awesome! I wish we learned more about the other band mates a bit. All in all, I'm sad. I really enjoyed 70-80% of this book. I suppose I liked the last bit. Just sad, disappointed, feel jipped. Lol.A decent read. I have recommended it to a few people, I would say give it a chance and you be the judge. It would of got 5 stars and been a favorite if there was more to it.

It felt like reading The Mighty Storm all over again
It's not like me to five 2 stars and write a review about a book. However, I just felt like I was reading The Mighty Storm by Samantha Towle. I kept reading and I finished the book. What I did was to look for the release dates of both books to know which one was first. I did this since I read TMS first but I wasn't sure if this one was first. They were released within a month a part and their similarities are huge. The plot is too similar (reporter going with the rock star to Europe to write a biography). I have to say I liked TMS more (except for the cheating thing) that this one. While I was reading I checked my kindle to see how much was left and I was about 76% and it was day 2 in the tour. I thought there weren't enough pages left to finish the story line. Everything was rushed and how things were resolved was a let down.SPOILER ALERT ------------We have this Alexa girl who is a reporter and gets "chosen" by Jax Brent to write his biography so the world gets to know the real him. He arrives late and as usual she is putty once she looks at him. She decides it's ok to go with his band and write about him. She totally thinks she will not surrender to his charms, too late BTW if the second night you met him you get drunk and made a move. Then we get to know the groupies, they all love Jax but they know he would never love them back so they settle for being around. The way the accept Alexa is far beyond believable, I mean, they don't even put of a fight for him. Things start to look good for Alexa and Jax when this Mary bitch gets to scene. My problems starts here, according to the way Alexa is described she is confident and down to earth, so why the hell does she want to be the second one in Jax's life?? Mary was Jax love interest for a while and he thinks he's responsible for her life. That's just stupid, a rock star who is going to place his happiness and desires in second place just to keep a woman happy. I get he feels responsible but how much is that going to last if she is just someone unwanted by everyone in the band.Moving on, Alexa gets great advice from her friend and mother and she starts to stand for her own, but she believes everything Jax says. That's too much, who is willing go be girl in the side? No one! So, she stands by him and she manages to get the truth known by Jax. The way Mary leaves their life was too easy and without drama (ok, maybe I'm just the one who wants to have drama in a book). They get. 2 month HEA and with rock starts I don't thinks 2 months is enough to get their life settle.I wouldn't read it again and it was a quick reading (I actually skimmed a lot).

Jackson is H.O.T.
I love rock star books. I loved Jackson as the man he was and could be and then there is Jax the alter ego rock God that can be a jerkwad. This man is charming, smart, and a rockstar. SCORE!Alex really has no idea what she signs up for agreeing to go on tour with this man an his motley band but she soon finds out. The fact that she makes peace with the groupies cracks me up! Who knew?I loved this story and will add it to my read again pile.

An OK Read
This book needs a good editing. So many errors - it's like the auto-correct feature was on and kept putting in words that were close to the right one but not the right word. How is it that so many books get sold with the amount of errors in them like this? Don't people read their own books before going to press? Unbelievable. The story itself was just an ok read for me. The characters were a bit shallow and unbelievable. Alexa kept talking about Jackson having so many different sides to his personality; I think she had more! Overall, the book missed the mark for me and I doubt that I will be recommending it to anyone. Sorry Ms. Baird.

Awe inspiring
The story of Jax and Alex was awe inspiring. I was completely lost in the book. Their story is a dream come to be able to conquer obstacles that some people would just give up on but, not Alex who fought for the love she knew her rock star Jax could give her. This is a really great book and I will be recommending to my family and friends and I will be reading it again in the future.

Was a bit disapointed!
It started off as cute story, but it frustrated me that they both fell in love so quickly. And she give "it" as soon as she get a chance.WE all swoon after a rock "god" to sweep us off our feet, but dont be a easy layI loved Jackson (Jax), so cocky and arrogant, but really a softie at heart. And it was such a short story, left me wanting more, a quick read, with a left a little bitter taste behind.

I really enjoyed Beauty in the Breakdown by Natalie Baird! I loved the characters and how everything worked out in the end. The plot was realistic and really great. I love how rock band books are growing as time goes by! I can't wait to read another book by Natalie Baird! I give Beauty in the Breakdown 4 stars!

Should have been good - could have been better
Alexa is a music journalist living in NYC. She rooms with her college buddy on the edge of Gramercy Park.A drop-dead gorgeous, rock star comes into her life to offer her the chance of a lifetime to accompany him on his European tour, and write his bio., no holds barred.Alexa goes along on the trip - all so far so good. But this is where the story becomes a little disjointed for me. Considering she is a music journo, she has very little connection with the rock star lifestyle and is almost shocked when there are groupies on the tour - accompanying the band. She is just all too prissy and uptight, so when Jackson (the rock star) comes on to her, and she succumbs to his charms and her desire for him - in the bathroom of the jet, it is just all too far-fetched. And if she refers to her "soaked-through panties" once, we read it umpteen times. She should either be uptight and prissy or wanton sex kitten and neither one nor the other is the stronger character, nor believeable. Her naivety just didn't cut it for me - she didn't know what an "unplugged" session was?!The problem is that the book does not give you the opportunity to invest emotionally in Alexa. You feel nothing for her and no connection, because the book has not delivered and so it just all falls flat.Whilst you want the hero and heroine of the piece to have the victory, and you might want to see those who are trying to thwart the development of the relationship get their comeuppance. When they do, it's all a bit amateurishSorry to be so scathing with the review - it's just not a great writing and there are grammar errors in there too, which were kinda frustrating. It was a quick read though, read it in one day.

Enjoyed
I really enjoyed this book and was disappointed that it wasn't longer I thought it would have benefited from more depth I was hoping it would follow the whole tour. The band members and groupies were great and I would have liked more of them and the interesting relationships between them all. I was going to give this book 3 stars mainly due to the length but then I really enjoyed it and ultimately that's what it's all about so I settled on 4. Well worth a read.

Good story
I really enjoyed the start of this book and thought this would be a really good but the story just seemed so rushed and there was no real flow, the exciting parts were over just as quick as they started, its real shame the book was'nt longer as this could have been a really good book as the characters are very good.

it's ok but not a very long story
I read this and found it to be ok but there are spelling mistakes! The storyline is rushed and not very in depth, it's more of a short story and the ending was disappointing the author could have gone in to a more in depth ending. More annoyed at myself for what I paid for the book as there are a lot better books out there.
