Good grey coverage

Used this for years, vibrant colour every time. I used this on already copper hair (washed out) , with base 4.0 roots. I lamp it on roots and ends at once (don't come at me) and this is the result

I have used this brand many time's with no issues of resulting hair colour. This is first time using this particular shade 7.0 intense medium blonde. The result is more like a light brown than blonde and I didn't leave on more than 20 mins as it continued to get darker. Coverage was even but far far much darker than expected.
