Love Love Love my Birkenstocks!
I've been wearing these for a year now and I still absolutely love them!!!! They are so comfortable and sturdy that I'm sure I will still be wearing them for many years to come!! Actually, all the shoes I own are Birkenstocks because of the great quality and comfort.

Bad feet? Look no further. These are some of the best shoes...ever!
I recommend these whole heartedly because I have bad feet and these shoes are great! Seriously. I have feet that hurt all the time- even when I take my shoes off, they still hurt. They are flat and if I don't wear arch supports in my shoes, they burn in the arch and my life is hell until I can sit down and get off of my feet. Enter the Tokyo. I have worn the Tokyo model for years. In fact, I still have my original shoes that I replaced with this new version because my feet changed and I needed a wider model. I have re-soled my original Tokyos more times than I can count and, despite the hard use and vast amount of tragedy, trauma, and disgust, in the 15 years I worked in the medical field, these shoes simply will not wear out! While I don't wear my original Tokyos much anymore due to their smallish size, I keep them around as my back up shoes because they STILL look good. The leather looks hardly worn except for the scuffing from gurney locks on the toes. Birkenstocks just take a beating and still seem to function and, if you have the money, you can actually re-build them completely with new foot beds, soles, and uppers. Re-soling mine cost me about $35 at my local shoe shop. I REALLY LIKE these new Tokyos because they have the non-slip soles which did not exist when I bought my original version, and I find them to be true to their claim of reduced slippage. As an aside, I also have the London model and like those also. Because I like the Tokyos a little more, I have mostly "retired" the Londons and now wear them with khakis and jeans, and find them to look semi-dressy, while still giving all day type of support, and comfort. In short, I have found no other shoe that will give the support and comfort and wear as well as these.

Worst “high end” kitchen shoe to date. Very slippery
Chef of 20+ years who has tried shoe after shoe (and not the cheap ones) hoping to find the right shoe. Mozo, merrell, keen, etc and now a Birkenstock. The are comfy and convienent but also painful and never really “broke in” for me. Much less gentle on my feet then any other I’ve worn. The biggest issue though is the so called non-slip. I have almost went down multiple times in these shoes, often on barely wet floors. They are the worst non-slip sole on any pair of kitchen shoes I have bought. Update: Pulled these out from under desk as my awesome snibbs were wet from a deep clean and the photo is the left shoe (worn maybe 10 times since purchase and just sitting under my desk)

Good
Lightweight and comfy. After 6 or so hours my heel hurts a little from hard floors but overall fit is great.

Exactly what I was looking for
I've been a wearer of Birkenstock clogs(boston) and sandals (arizona) since high school and have always wanted a pair of non-slip clogs to wear at work. The strap on these is a nice addition that is unnoticeable until it keeps the shoe on your foot. Fit is exactly like the Boston clog, though you do stand 1/4" taller or so due to the slightly thicker outsole. The black leather has been tough enough so far, it wipes clean with a damp rag at the end of the night, and is thick enough to repel hot spills without drama. That being said, the strap holes on the instep sometimes poke out from under the cuffs of my pants and *could* provide an entry point for falling liquids and debris to enter the shoe - it hasn't happened to me yet but the potential is there. Update: It's happened a few times. It's extremely unpleasant each time. The soles could also be a bit more non-slippy. The small birkenstock pattern does great on oily floors or wet floors or dry floors, as long as you're only on one at a time. My night brings me all over the kitchen post-haste, and I've felt the familiar slipping sensation a few times. The tread also loads up with debris quickly which takes away a lot of nonslip performance as well. Is it a step up from the Super Birki? The jury is still out. They're more comfortable, I stand lower, and I dig the leather vs. rubber. Downsides are cost, boring looks (I want crazy colors), and not being able to run them through the dish machine. I think the Super Birkis grip better, but these are just so much more comfortable that I can forgive this and just walk more carefully. Overall a fantastically comfortable shoe that I'd recommend to any fan of Birkenstock. UPDATE: 7/23/2015 Shoes are done with no warning whatsoever. They've been easy to clean and comfortable for 12+ hour days on the line, but I found them dead today. The sole peeled clean off the left shoe while they were sitting in the car. There was some wear on the bottom of the soles, but nothing exceptional - it just peeled off the midsole. I'm torn between ordering another pair or just going back to the super birki. Completely unacceptable for a $140 shoe, and I'm taking a star away over this. I expect at least a year out of my shoes.

Tokyo Bought Birkies before, great workwear, exercise your feet, lots of support ones with the strap just add to a secure fit
