Professional CNC engraving kit for ArduinoIDE, Kuman GRBL CNC + Ramps 1.4 Shield-R3 Board DRV8825 A4988 Stepper Motor Driver with Heat Sink + NEMA 17 Stepper Motor KB02

I finally got round to unboxing this kit for my 3D printer project. The quality is very bad. All 4 of the stepper motor controllers are full of gunk. only one of them works. 2 of them have broken potentiometers. I expected better. Check out the photo below, you can see all the gunk around the soldered points.

You get what they advertise, but with no notes, no manual, and no diagrams. Seems not to be compatible with GRBL 1.1 It might work, but who knows? Best you can do is google endlessly trying to find details from other buyers that have struggled and managed to get something out of this. Best avoided. Have given up as I have better things to do with my time. Waste of money.

Nice product but beware that the back of the board needs isolating from any metal chassis in case of shorting the board. Also, you need to ensure the the Signal, Neutral and Power pins are correctly placed on the Ramps board else you will short the board and damage the Auduino of used for this application. Also, you need to set Marlin to read True if used as a limit switch. Good product.

Used these to add limit switches to 3d router. Perfectly reliable and no problems!
