fabulous book if you:•Choose to read it slowly.It was originally written to be read in installments.•Keep a running list of the characters and all of their AKA's.some have as many as 4 names, used when they function in different settings.•Watch for humor. the dialogue is hilarious and depicts human behaviour,the same then as now.•Enjoy the double plot as it progresses.•Visualize it like a movie, vast footage of sights streaming by,upon which you will not be tested.•This is a story about a journey taken by a young boy and an old man. Go on the journey with them.You will will arrive at the end a changed person.

This book is really great. Its tough to keep track of all the characters and their different backgrounds and religions, much like I suppose it was for someone living there then. I really enjoyed the book. Kipling is such a good writer. You really see things through Kim's eyes and at the end I actually missed the characters. Awesome book.

It is a joy to hear the full text read so well. I fear other reviews listed beside this book are misfiled and give the wrong impression.
