Fattoria Estense Silver Label Aceto Balsamico Di Modena Vinegar, 8.5 Fluid Ounce

My Balsamic arrived packaged safely and in just a short time. It is delicious!

I have the real thing, straight from Modena Italy where it is made. It is Acetaia-Leonardi Balsamico "Il Pregiato" Aged 10 years. That bottle was a gift and $100. I replaced it this year and wouldn't have done so had I tried the Fattoria Estense Silver Label first. I bought the Fattoria Estense for cooking but after tasting it, it is now my sipping vinegar. This vinegar is so smooth and rich. The taste is sublime and I am not exaggerating. The price for this quality of vinegar is truly a great deal. If you like balsamic vinegar on cheese or in your tea (I use mine in Teavana's Raspberry Balsamic for an extra kick of taste) or just for sipping, this is the product for you.

Fattoria Estense's silver label balsamic vinegar has been my (Italian-American) family's go-to brand for years. We love how it brings out the flavor of so many different foods, from vegetables to meats to strawberries. This product is nothing like the so-called "balsamic vinegar" sold in supermarkets. Fattoria Estense silver label is slightly syrupy, sweet and sour, full-bodied, and a good value. It would be nice to have an smaller spout so that pouring can be more precise, but the hanging drop from the neck of the bottle makes finger-licking-good treat for the pourer! With Fattoria Estense silver label, it's easy to forego calorie-laden salad dressings, butter, and such. Have fun experimenting; you'll be sure to find a new favorite food and balsamico pairing. This is good balsamic, nice for a change once in a while. It is definitely sweeter than the stuff I usually get from the "supermarket" and a little thicker. My husband and I both tasted it directly from the bottle and it was good like that. It has a touch of vinegar taste to it. We actually like a slightly stronger vinegar taste for salad so I only occasionally use it for that. It was nice with Italian bread, but I prefer the Olive Oil with spices. Haven't tried it on ice cream, though I can see where it might be good and haven't tried it on veggies as I'm not one who likes "sweet" on my veggies. I just saw the price almost doubled so I definitely won't be buying it again as we really don't use it enough to warrant paying that much and though "nice" it isn't something we really love not even sure I'd buy again at the old price. The bottle is the size of a softball, which is much smaller than I expected but it is cute. It is, as others say, messy when poured.

I wanted to treat myself to a (finally!) nice balsamic. Fattoria has a nice, rich flavor and excellent finish. Just a hint of sweetness to accompany the ever-so-slight bitter. HINT: I opened my bottle, allowed it to breath for a minute, then put it away for a day. When I first opened it, it did taste a little more bitter than sweet. I think allowing it to breath and then settle really helped! Would purchase again!

I was super excited when I found this vinaigrette on Amazon since I have had this when I was in Italy. It was awesome!This one is just ok, not think enough, and not sweet enough. May the one I had in Italy was more aged???In my opinion, this one is not much better than ones from local grocery store. Considering the size of bottle, taste and the price, it is not worthy.

I purchased this in a specialty store a few years ago, and my bottle is almost empty. I was concerned that I wouldn’t find it again. It is as sweet and thick as my 18 year old Balsamic...and much less expensive!

For the $$ this is a tasty treat. Wonderful reusable bottle. (Packaging is a big deal to me. I don't like paying for things i have to throw away.) A little thick. A little sweet. You can not see through it. We enjoyed sliced strawberries and caramel with a little of this drizzled on the plate. I keep balsamic glaze in my pantry so I won't be cooking with it.
