This is a very nice, thick, well made belt. It says the buckle is made of stainless steel. A magnet will not stick to any part of it the buckle or roller or two screws that hold the buckle onto the belt, but will stick to the prong that passes through the belt holes; since some stainless steels are ferro-magnetic, and some aren't, it is hard to verify this, but these are the exhibited properties and are consistent with the buckle being stainless. In any event, the buckle and its attachments seem substantial and properly made. The smell immediately from the box is typical "leather" smell, not unpleasant like some offshore leather products are. As far as I can tell, it is one-layer thick actual cow/bull hide, not fake urethane or composite leather dust glued together, as advertised. If it doesn't hold up as real leather should I will update this review later.The belt leather itself is about 5mm thick (.21") over the length of the belt, and looks uniform in finish and color. The belt leather has been shaved down to 3mm where it wraps around the buckle to reduce the bending radius and the thickness of the inevitable two-layer thickness of the belt at the buckle. The leather loop retaining the flapping tip end of the belt when you buckle up is made of 2mm thick leather, also to reduce the wad of leather at this point; It is all nicely and properly done. The "rivets" are placed on either side of this loop to keep it in place, but they aren't rivets; they are actually screws, so they can be unscrewed if you want to replace the buckle with a fancier one, but are not subject to popping loose like typical snaps might.The belt is shipped in a square presentation box, inside a drawstring sack. The belt itself is covered within a thin cloth tubular sleeve over its entire length to protect its surface finish and buckle from scuffs during shipping. The gives it a high quality appearance as a gift if that is your intentions.I cannot say how it will hold up long term, but out of the box it seems to work well without any drooping or folding over with an IWB holster clipped to it. All of the edges and buckle holes are sanded smooth and finished in black to match the color of the belt's flat surfaces, so they don't show up as light tan holes in an otherwise black belt. How well it would work as a gun-holster belt would, I think, depend more on the holster and its belt clips/loops than on the belt itself. Hard to believe you would need anything thicker than this unless you were carrying a whole lot of equipment or ammo on the belt, which I do not intend to do. It is nice enough to be used in a casual dress setting with the buckle provided; you might want a fancier buckle to go with your Brooks Brothers business suit. For the cost, I don't think you can beat this right now on Amazon. If I needed another one in brown color, I would not hesitate to buy this belt again.

Utterly amazed at what a quality product this is. It came in a premium box wrapped in a soft cloth sleeve. The smell of real leather hits you when you unwrap it. The belt is a genuine conceal carry/gun belt I would say on par with Galco, Desantis, and even my El Paso Saddlery (less the fancy engraving). I plan on buying more at this price.

I received this product today. Unlike other reviewers, I can't detect even a trace of that real leather smell. The belt looks and feels like synthetic leather. I've owned several real leather belts and shoes and this belt isn't even close.The sizing chart was about one size too small - I have to wear it at the last notch even when not carrying. I'd suggest ordering up a size from where you'd place on the sizing chart.The belt is wide but thinner than I expected. It's not as stiff as I was hoping but does an okay job for OWB full-size carry. My overall rating on this item is "just okay". The "leather" was the biggest disappointment.

Nice looking belt,but very soft and pliable. Not a stiff enough to be a gun belt. The leather loop broke off after only 1 month of wear.

I was immediately impressed with the packaging of this belt. The smell, the feel, the fit... All speak of quality.I wear my Glock 43 inside the waistband with this belt and my Glock 19 in an outer holster. Both ride in place all day flawlessly.Although he doesn't carry and probably never will, I am buying a belt my oldest son as he needs a quality belt that will last him for a long long time...

It arrived on time and I was very pleased with it. The finish is smooth and even and the stitching is regular with no loose threads. The buckle is similarly well made and it's solid. It supports my Glock 19 with no sagging.

I've been wearing this belt just about every day. It hasn't shown any signs of wear. The price was superb for a quality gun belt. Just hoping they'll offer this in brown and tan. Highly recommend.

This is a good Lookin belt fits well however when I did my research on Amazon I was looking specifically for a steel core belts. This is not a steel cord belt. If that is not important to you than this is a good belt to One. I made the decision to keep it however only time will tell how well it wears.
