Excellent axe, but hard to sharpen
This axe is just what we were looking for. It is very well made, well-balanced, and ergonomic. It works great, and we expect it to last, but it took consider work to sharpen the blade. It came with a cover over the blade, so we expected it to be at least somewhat sharp but it wasn't. It took about 30 minutes or so of constant work to sharpen the blade with a hand sharpener, and then it worked like a charm. The price was definitely worth the extra effort. I would highly recommend buying it, but be prepared to sharpen it upon arrival.

Excellent balance and craftsmanship!! Great value!
I have been cutting down a number of trees on my property this summer and wanted the wood for my fire pit. This product shipped so fast that it seemed like I went to the home center and just picked it up. I was excited when it arrived and I started using it right away. It works like a dream. It is well balanced which means that it won't tire you as quickly. Plus, it cut through hardwood apple and oak with ease.

Solid Axe, but handled arrived damaged
The axe is well-made and has a comfortable grip. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the grip on the handle was torn. It's still usable so I don't plan on replacing it.

Great high quality & heavy duty axe which splits basically anything
Surprised my husband with a new ‚toy‘, as we are chopping up some trees in the yard.I gave this one a try and got a positive surprise. Looks so much better in real than in the pics. I attached some of mine, ... and feels super sturdy.I might need another one for myself, as this was so much fun to see his satisfaction during splitting a log. Looks like splitting butter 😂The axe feels great, easy to hold and to use. The material is so much better than my old one from a local store. I believe this axe will survive us and our yard.

Not good quality
Axe head is loose on the handle. Not sure if putting a new axe handle on like many of the reviews say will help it. The hole is bigger than the handle head. Really unhappy with the purchase. You would think the quality control would be a LOT better. Come on manufacturer. Get your stuff together. This will hurt someone!Update #1:So I cut the handle off to attach a new one since this handle is horrible. It don’t fit and the grain of the wood is fairly porous. The head of the handle inside the axe head was loose. It also had a good amount of some kind of bondo / filler. A few good hits and it would have came apart. Now the axe head. They use some really good paint because it fills in all the imperfections and there are a lot. VERY POOR QUALITY WORKMANSHIP! The angle of the hole is offset from the blade so attaching a new handle may be a waste of even more money. Inside the hole I had to take a file because it was a mess. It was not even and had a huge ridge in the middle which would make it hard to attach a new handle to as well.I would HIGHLY recommend NOT purchasing this item. For $30 go to your local hardware store and get one that has twice the quality. You will only get hurt using this thing.

Ax
The ax started coming off of the handle after the first couple of blows but I'm guessing that's how wooden axes are

You get what you pay for.
To be very clear, the price was too good to be true, and I walked right into it. Pros: nice and light, as far as axes are concerned. It seemed to split ok for its weight and length vs the knotted oak I had. The blade profile seems to be decent as a chopper, not very sharp when I got it.Cons: The handle is not great quality, says it is hickory, and I don't know enough about wood to dispute that, but it seems rough and not as tight grained as I would expect. The bigger issue is that the head already started to separate after just a few swings. I haven't taken it apart to see if the wedges are moving or if the handle is too narrow, no idea until I remove the black stuff off the handle to see the actual top/wedges. I'm hoping it is salvageable, but that remains to be seen.
